Cube Hybrid Pro Headset bearings

I have a Cube entry level hardtail and upgraded the forks a few months ago to Rockshox Judy’s.
I noticed rusty streaks coming from the headset after washing and after checking the bearings look rough.
They are open caged bearings. Can I replace them with sealed bearings? Is it just a straight swap? The cage is 40.5 o/d so I think 1.5”.
