Just found the classification for all the 160/140 bikes. Basically you can’t jump any of them. I’m cancelling my order as this is just a get out clause for all issues.

Spesh Levo ( well at least the 2019 model which I had) is also Condition 4.......dont know if later models are any different but the handbook they come with describes which classification the bike is suited to.
ps Condition 4 is "All Mountain". Condition 5 is Gravity Freeride and Downhill with a separate category 5 for Dirt jump bikes.

Unlikely any bike without a stronger frame build, uprated components and c 180mm travel would be Category 5...e.g. Whyte E180.

Interesting - seems that from @jempezen link that even both the KSL and Full Fat Kenevo are rated at this level 4.

Specialized.com advertising copy:
The Turbo Kenevo Super Light puts the “E” in our Enduro - More laps, more jumps, more drops, faster rides with fresher legs.

Also Specialized:
"Not for large drop offs, jumps or launches"

LOL

TO be fair, I'm sure we will find that most ebikes are in this same category, it's likely just to cover themselves legally?

Can anyone see any sticker on their Trek Rail with a condition number on it? According to Trek's manual the bikes have a condition sticker on it.

'Mountain electric-assisst bicycle' is Condition 3, in which 'jumps should be no more than 61cm' 😱

Interesting that I have never been told about any restrictions by anyone when purchasing an e-bike, surely they have a legal.obligation to do so, the flipside to that is that they wouldn't sell any if they told the truth.

Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s just paint, I think the paint is layered on a bit thick in my experience , certainly is on my 160 action team 2021 model , and I certainly wouldn’t worry about restricting where you ride Christ my bike has done a fair bit of knarly stuff in wales and yorkshire dales , and my local area good old stony cotwolds , only issue I’ve had was last week were a large Rock flew up and smashed off the chain device and unluckily undid the chain joining link , Just coming up to 1000 miles and it’s been faultless , 54 miles this week end no problem , one thing I would say is to any new owners though is to get your dealer to fit cube own cranks or some other brand and scrap the e13 ones as they flex and bend to a point they will touch the rear chain stay

Are the cranks really that bad? Great having to buy new cranks on a nice expensive bike 🙈

My dealer changed them under warranty, yes they are bad , I’m only 11.5 stone so not that much weight pushing on them and they just started to touch the chain stay but luckily I had crank boots on so no paint work was damage, I’ve seen one on here and it did a fair bit of damage

Hello everyone,
We'll send the email today at Cube and i believe at the end of the week i'll have the answer.
Do you have any news ? Warranty applied ?

I bought this model last week and found this during the initial chain cleaning:

Cube defaut 3z.jpg

The bike has only a few kms for testing, on road around the LBS. So in your opinion is it only a paint manufacturing defect ?
