Cranks don’t freewheel backward.

So when I back pedal, the chain now turns. I can hear the motor turning and there is resistance turning the cranks backwards. Then all of a sudden the chain stops turning, but still some resistance, then next min the chain starts turning again.
Any thoughts ?
I think the internal clutch might be sticking.
Anyone else come across this ?

Happened to me today for the first time, 2016 Levo.
Going uphill I'd stop pedalling on certain sections and the cranks would keep revolving for half a turn. At top of hill back peddling the chain would spin and resistance like you said.
Turned battery off a few times and didn't seem to work then sorted itself once i started downhill . Pretty freaky and would be so bad hitting jumps etc.
is it still happening to you outerlimits?

are you running software that allows you to set the acceleration mode? if so set it to eco

I hope im wrong though i thought the motor warranty was only for 6 months?

You can only use that setting if you are still on firmware 22, if you are on 23 its already set to eco

My problem exists with battery off, so nothing to do with acceleration settings.
It has seemed to have free’d itself up now and cranks spin like crazy backwards.
