Condensation in the Shimano E8000 screen

I noticed on the last ride that I had a film of condensation inside the screen of my Shimano E8000 display. It doesn't cover the whole screen just about a 1" x 1/2" triangle. The next bit of sunshine I get in the garden, I'll leave the bike out and hope that it will evaporate. If that doesn't work, I'm thinking of using my wife's hairdryer, from below the unit.
Any other suggestions?

You could take it off the bike and leave it somewhere warm/low humidity (not hot) .. with all the plugs exposed and hope it evaporates (the moisture, not the display).

An indoor airing cupboard maybe of benefit to you fella, or you could try silica gel, or something of the likes of those moisture window condensation traps, you can purchase locally..

Thanks gentlemen, I will try both, once I can arise from my self isolation induced lethargy! With another 11-12 weeks to go, I might get around to it in a week or so!

I had the same the other day after having the bike upside down repairing a puncture. It disappeared within half an hours ride.

I’ve had it happen a couple of times - straight after a cold winter ride and putting the bike into the garage which is warm. I think the moist air in the display warms up and condenses on the inside of the glass which is still cold. It dissipates naturally without needing to be forced.
