Hi guys,

Has anyone tried fitting one of the bigger external 630wh batteries to the older commencals? not sure if it will clear the shock reservoir.

Hi, I'm wondering the same. Saw that they are doing it on the Canyon forum with success. I was looking at there pics and it looks like we would have to reverse the shock so that the piggyback reservoir would clear.

This is the Canyon forum with the pics of the new battery mounted, The canyon is pretty close to the commencal for reference. I've been using the pics to judge the size and space that I would have. Well, just purchased the new 630wh battery for my 2018 Fox MetaPower will find out by next week if it fits or not, will post pictures. Cross your fingers.

Yeah good point about reversing the shock! Might look a bit funky but will definitely work. Where did you buy the battery from? if you could let me know if it fits when it arrives that would be great

it fit my meta power 2019 signature , size M , inverted X2 shock , moded mount tab , secured mount with rubber part filling each gap under mounting and battery

Has anyone else tried the bigger battery in a Large frame with the Rockshox Deluxe?

I tried mocking up a pic of the battery inserted just using Microsoft Word and it looks like it would *just* fit, but its a bit too close to worth the risk ordering just on the basis of this hastily cobbled together image...

630wh battery on a 2019 meta power size large. Just thought I would post to help anybody looking to fir this battery.

I decided to sell my Specialized Turbo Levo Comp Alloy 2021 and to upgrade my old Commencal Meta Power Race 2018 with a 630Wh battery. Can't help it, but my old Commencal is just so much more fun to ride.
