Hi all
Changes to amflow pl and was hoping to change over to factory fox front and rear shock I have a spare rear dpx2 160mm seams too long it maybe a 205mm
if you have changed over rear shock which one did you go for and how did it affect the bike.

Also I’m toying with going
factory 36 160mm grip 2
or
Factory 170mm 38 fit4

I have both to try problem is the existing headset has a weird fork crown washer I can’t get off the existing fork

Cheers
Jon.

At the bottom where the steerer meets the upside down U shape ?

That's called a Crown Race and makes the headset bearing 'fit' and meet correctly. You need a tool (or a screwdriver and a hammer, please don't)

You can easily remove the crown race by gently hammering in a stanley knife blade to start a small gap for a screw driver. The crown race also doubles as a knock block on the Amflow.

I changed my suspension to Olin’s. 160 36 up front and a coil shock. Nearly the same as my Lego. Have yet to ride the bike in anger as it arrived two days ago. Also swapped out the tyres. Assuaging max grip up frontt and DHRII rear. Tubeless. My size medium is exactly 21kg without pedals now.

Hi. You need a 185x55 shock size 👍

Could someone write what is the Fox Tune ID code (probably visible on the back of the shock) of the Fox Float X Factory shock and the regular Fox Performance in Amflow?

For the Ohlins stuff, did you re-use the existing mounting hardware or did you order Ohlins mounting hardware separately? I can’t seem to find the specs for the diameter (I assume 8mm) and width for the shock mounting hardware on the non-trunnion end.

Existing. It’s exactly the same as the fox DPX, I took off.. You might need a shock hardware removal tool.

It;s a zero mount kit. The width is the width of the standard plastic bushing inserts in the fox shock and the metal inner sleeve is the same length.

Nice, thanks! I will see if my bearing removal kits will do or if I need a shock hardware removal tool.

Yes, it should be Fox Float X 185x55.
You should also know that bike manufacturers choose their own rear shock valving for each bike, which in the case of Amflow is as I provided in the links above:

2025 FACTORY SERIES FLOAT X

Serial number: 1146791-0034-t
Part number: 979-02-335
Description: 2025, FLOAT X, F-S, K, 2pos-Adj, Trunnion, Evol LV, AMFLOW, MTX, 185, 55, 0.4 Spacer, CS50, RL40, LMM, Rezi B60,
