chain cleaning - back pedalling with Bosch ?

coming as a e-mtb newbie, I am used to cleaning my chain with a park chain cleaner of similar, with bike on floor and back-pedalling the drivetrain through it. So that doesn't work with an e-mtb crankset, any tricks, tips ?

Tywrap thro the black chain guard to the crank arm is how I do it

....back wheels sits on ground for stability so would rather not !

Old skool: Flip the bike over on to its seat and bars. Turn pedals the normal way.

Thats the method that I use.

allen key or similar trapped between crank and chainwheel.

Put bike on stand, park tool chain cleaner either on backwards or rightways on "lower" part of chain. Pedal forwards.

thanks, yes, but I prefer to do it with wheels on ground and bike leaning on a step I have made, so will try the allen key trick - I presume backward rotation doesn't hurt the motor ?
