Thats really cool. if only all manufacturers did that.Trek covered the cost of my freewheel and later complete wheel and Bosch covered the cost of the motor replacement according to the bike shop.
When I enquired at a different shop about warranty replacement they also said Bosch paid them to do the work so were happy to do my bike if the supplying dealer fell short. They are a certified Bosch Service Centre if that has any bearing on it.
CRC/Vitus doNo bike or parts manufacturer or distributor to my knowledge covers costs on warranty work.
A lot of bike shops will cover this cost themselves though.
as far as I know spesh already state a service life for the drive belt dont remember what it is but I think its in the manual
Specialized doesn’t pay dealers for warranty work. We are not compensated for our time processing a warranty claim or for removal and installation warranty parts. In fact nobody really does this. SRAM will give us a chain or a cassette to compensate for our time but that’s it.
In fact when a warranty motor is sent out to us, we are on the hook for the cost of the replacement until they get the old one back.
The most common warranty issue I see with the Brose motor is the slipped or shredded belt.

This is almost always on derestricted bikes.
The good news is the belts and bearings will be serviceable at the dealer level in the coming weeks when these new kits become available from Specialized
I am very curious about this as well, a lot of talk but I have not heard about this actually happening.Out of curiosity have any of you had a 1.2, 1.2E or 1.3 motor replaced under warranty on a de-restricted Levo or Kenevo?
On the other hand has anyone had their warranty claim on the motor denied/rejected due to removing the 25kph speed limiter?
