Bosch warning light?

I have a 1 yr old Whyte e160 RSX with a Bosch CX gen 4 motor.
When I haven’t ridden for maybe a week I get the bike ready and just ride it round the garden to check everything.

The controller is in Eco with a green light.
After a couple of mins riding the light turns orange and stays orange until I turn it on & off then it’s ok.

I have never had a problem on a ride or seen the orange light again. Has anyone else had this or know the reason?

I haven't tried that. I will have to wait for it to go orange again or do you know if there is a history?

In another discussion on the forum the orange light always turned on, when the rider did not have the phone and Flow app nearby. In this case the orange light could be turned off by switching to a different drive mode on the controller.

The LED Remote light turning orange is a warning signal. Assuming your bike continues to operate OK, it is only advisory. It turns orange for example to warn you that the battery has reached 30% capacity remaining. The warning could also be that you have a fault report ( if you had a Kiox fitted it would say what the error is). I do not have first hand experience but I understand as per the post a bove that another warning could be the absence of your phone.............but that only applies if you have the Bosch Connect Module fitted............it certainly does not apply otherwise. I regularly ride without my phone on me and do not get any sort of warning.
I have on one occasion, when I had my phone on me ( and was running Strava) the orange light repeatedly appearing with the Kiox telling me my phone had lost signal. I acknowledged/cleared the warning by pressing the square button on the LED Remote but had that happen a bout 4 times on that ride. ( I often ride quite close to some military bases/firing ranges and some weird things happen to phone signal and GPS sometimes!!)

Super helpful, thanks! Is there info in the app that we can learn these things or how do we know?

With my Bosch Smart system the orange LED comes on to tell me I do not have my phone connected. Goes off when I change power mode.

PS, I registered my bike with my phone but never bother connecting.

PPS. It doesn't come on every time, just when it thinks I need reminding.

Mines only turned orange when the bike gets out of range of my phone . Like when I let someone else take a lap on the bike.

Get the bike back. Turn the app off then back on. Back in business

The Bosch help website is full of information. In this case watch the video from 2:23
I thank you, the video, however with out the info about the app I would have made an un needed trip to the bike shop. The app/iphone has to be on my person or the orange comes on meaning no major problems so huge thank you to posters above to clarify that!! ,

You guys are crackin' me up. I went through the same thing. When I got my new Bosch equipped bike, I took it home and in a few hundred yards the light would start flashing. So I'd go back to the garage, check it out, and go out for another test run. I must have done this half a dozen times, and all I could figure out was that I had to have my phone with me to ride. That's stupid. I got on the phone with Pivot, and their service person couldn't help. So I went back to the bike store, the owner plugged in his fancy computer, and it was no help. While he was on the phone leaving a message for the Bosch representative, I came up with the idea of shutting down the app if I was going to leave the phone behind. Voilà! Problem solved.

Actually not completely obvious.........on some phones...certainly Android if the App does not give you a log out option and you merely "close" by using the centre ( square) bottom menu option, the TAB remains ......all TABS remain until they get to 100. So either use a log out option in the app or make sure you close the TAB.
