Bosch Motor replacement outside warranty

I'm glad to say that Bosch have honored the warranty on my Gen 2 motor 5-6 weeks outside the warranty period. My LBS pushed through the warranty replacement without fuss it would seem. Can't wait to get it back now.

Motor had about 1200 miles on it and was obviously just over 2 years old. Going by the Bearing Mans videos on Youtube, it would seem one or both of the outside bearings were destroyed by water ingress.

Is it still a rolling 2 year warranty with Bosch?

Not from Bosch, as you've said the warranty is now officially up, although all supplied parts, warranty replacement or not, must be fit for purpose. Usually this means things have to last at least a year. With this in mind if your replacement motor fails within a year I'd be chasing them again.

That's just my limited knowledge, I'm probably going to get corrected very quickly!

Good news they honored the warranty. The motor itself will come with a warranty, you should ask them what it is
