• Warning!!

Riding a tuned or deristricted EMTB is not a trivial offence and can have serious legal consequences. Also, many manufacturers can detect the use of a tuning device or deristricting method and may decline a repair under warranty if it was modified from the intended original specification. Deristricting EMTB's can also add increased loads for motors and batteries. Riding above the local law limit may reclassify the bike as a low-powered bike, requiring insurance, registration and a number plate.

Be aware of your local country laws. Many laws prohibit use of modified EMTB's. It is your responsibility to check local laws. Ignoring it, has potential implications to trail access, and risk of prosecution in the event of an accident.

For how many installs? What they say might be the case but they're unlikely to say otherwise, are they?
Hence my post buddy, I would also think there must be some truth to it as otherwise there just asking for a hiding for nothing….. hopefully someone will be able to give some clarification

The last week I tried to install the kit eplus Bosch gen 5,but unfortunately I didn't because the sensor that install near the motor touch in the frame and not possible to install the motor in the frame.

Sorry for my English guys.

Any updates on Bosch Gen5? Anyone having any success?
Obviously it's still 'early days' but we have a very high success rate with these kits across the Gen4, Gen5 and SX motors.
One thing I will say is these aren't a plug & ride install. I definitely recommend watching one of the install videos on youtube & the reading the instructions before placing an order.
What we've found is that any issues with them are usually down to the position of either the wired speed sensor or the electromagnet module. These are all easily resolved through troubleshooting though.
Unfortunately I can confirm that the Mondraker Crafty Carbon 2025 is not compatible. This is due to the design of the Carbon frame. We've not had any other installation issues with other brands though.
We do have a dedicated spot on our website for all things Bosch Rim Magnet, feel free to send us a message if you have any questions about these.
