I think most bikes have been announced at this stage, probably a few more stragglers over the next few weeks.

If money was no object, Crestline for sure, every single number in the geochart looks perfect to me, spec is good and I feel competitive with other brands at the 10k level. But I don't intend to spend 10k on a bike knowing both how easy they are to damage and how much the resale value plummets.

Surprisingly, the Cube one77 has really crept up on me, most of the geo and spec is very good even down to the 5k build. Would prefer full 29, not too keen on headset routing and the BB is a touch low. Will wait for ride reviews as cube historically have been all over the map (i.e. there have been stinkers). I'm also confused how they managed to make the bike so heavy with the new system and a carbon frame.

The big miss for me is Orbea not speccing an 800Wh on the new wild, I had convinced myself that a non-removable battery could be something I live with if I had the 800Wh (with an extender for big days). Looks like this isn't on the cards. Ironically, this now puts the 23/24 Wild M20 on the map as it can be had heavily discounted for around 5k.

The DJI motor in a 170mm 22-23kg bike would be the ideal, but we probably have a year to wait before something like that materialises.

DJI - lacking geo and spec for enduro, no local support, not yet trail tested irl,...

CUBE - Suspension design not really my thing, internal headset cable routing, the geo is good and all else is good

TREK - the geo jumps between sizes are to big, fall right in between, otherwise the bike looks great with good spec and the new battery latch is good

ORBEA - Nice geo, looks mint, but internal headset cable routing is a no go and just the 600Wh(New 21700 cells) and 750(old 18650 cells-less efficient)

MUSTACHE - no local support or partnership LBS in case of trouble, didn't bother to look at it

CRESTLINE - no local support or partnership LBS in case of trouble, price, didn't bother to look at it

SANTA CRUZ - no local support or partnership LBS in case of trouble, bike looks mint, not sure about the new suspension setup, the only and non removable 600Wh battery is a no go

FOCUS - geo to trail oriented

SPECIALIZED - pretty Interested on the motor system(if what I read in forums is true) coming with the new Levo, although I am not sure, I/or anyone will like the new pricing...surely it won't be any less than previous models.

So currently there isn't any new Bosch emtb out at the moment that would fit into my box.

There is also still no third party ANT+ or BT connectivity with the new Bosch BDU38. ✌️

If I had to buy new emtb form these now, and If I had 8500€ it would go to aluminium Wild H10 with 750 battery. More unlimited budget Crestline. Trek Rail+ looks really nice but because of the 40mm gap on reach on M and L it wouldn't be possible.

I have never owned a carbon bike, but the orbea wild is the only one I would make the stretch for just because the bike is much lighter in carbon (at least 1.5kg) and possibly better built (previous gen alu models were not reliable).
Orbea is alot more expensive than pivot shuttle LT. I have to pass on it
Has there been a pivot LT with bosch release/leak? In europe at least Pivots don't really start under 8 or 9k, so orbea has multiple cheaper bikes, but with not so good components. And Pivots don't really go on sale, whereas Orbeas are currently 20-30% off for 2023 and some 2024 models!

I was close to buy a Pivot LT because it was on sale and had Shimano, but it was EP800 instead of 801 and it was full 29” so I went for Bullit…and Bullit was even cheaper. Bullit is better than any of these new Bosch bikes so no reason to change 😀

Neither the Bosch CX G5 nor the SHIMANO EP801 will buy my next 20kg e-bike with 2.5kg ZF CentriX 90Nm

RAYMON Tarok is the new high-power electric mountain bike in the R RAYMON range and is based on the new ZF CentriX motor, which we have already had the opportunity to test. This motor delivers 90 Nm of torque and 600 watts of peak power. The motor gets its power from a 756 Wh battery, which can be removed from the down tube for external charging. The R RAYMON Tarok is based on a carbon frame and a modern, rectilinear design language. It rolls on a mullet wheel setup and generates 160mm of travel front and rear, which should make it suitable for a wide range of trails. It is available in four specification variants, with prices ranging from €6,299 to €10,499. There is also a lighter model in the works, the Tarok Air, which is said to weigh just 20.5kg

I rode the crestline in Squamish last year and I didn't like it as much as I thought I would after all the hype. I have the 23 orbea wild Ltd and I really love that bike! I think orbea nailed it. But I have to say that my favorite e-bike so far is my '23 kenevo sl - that is the sickest bike I've seen!

If pushed then the Crestline but with their limited number run it doesn't instill confidence.
Santa Cruz after 20 plus years of VPP and their patent having expired have come up with a real contender but have shot themselves in the foot with having a non-removeable battery and only 600wh.
I've been running a Yeti 160e for 2 years so will be interested to see what they bring to the party next, I'm in the market for a new bike but so far none of the newly released bikes float my boat, I'm interested to see what Canyon, Giant, and Pivot bring to the party before deciding on my next purchase.

So currently there isn't any new Bosch emtb out at the moment that would fit into my box.

This is the issue I came to. Even if I could accept the 600w battery, I couldn’t get past the SC pricing/spec - £6.5k for base zebs and NX is just a joke.

I considered a Levo for a while, decent power delivery, ride well, but 3yo design?

I still think maybe these bikes have been made in a rush, just to match the release of the bosch gen 5. Being the firsts allow you to capture market but does not mean they are great bike for all people.

Tons of other have announce that they will release new bikes early 2025, so better wait a bit in my opinion. Commencal, YT, Canyon are going to release something!

For 8-10k bike, I want more valid choices.

Yep, the pricing is crazy on what the specs offer...it is and will probably go out trough the industry. I don't understand why Bosch made different sized(thickness) 600 and 800Wh batteries, I guess it's cost reduction and extra income with additional sales. I mean a downtube can easier accommodate a shorter 600Wh or a longer 800Wh, but as they did it, you now need a thicker downtube for the 800Wh, which at the moment limits the choices for everyone(manufacturers, buyers,...).

IMO the Levo is still a good package(a beautiful design, mid sized battery, powerful motor, great integration and connectivity and a great app) bike overall if you have a local Specialized dealer for support. The only downs IMO is the really short back end(chainstay) if you climb a lot of steep stuff and a trouble sensitive motor(belt) if pushed to hard all the time.
There are/will be some good deals (price/spec) on the clear out models until the Levo gen 4 release, It's definitely a sensible choice.

Unless you want the latest and greatest right now, then the wallet will hurt.

Well, I decided I don't want to be the beta tester for the new stuff and will just upgrade my Reign E with some good bits for the next season until everyone gets their stuff out and all the real life use Issues come to light and will make the decision for the next ride then. ✌️

The short 800wh makes sense from a weight distribution point of view and mounting compatibility, but not accounting for manufacturers' existing frames is quite short sighted.

I think for the next generation of frames, brands can decide between the 600wh vs 800wh and the SX vs CX motor, all on the same frame. Let's see if any of the cost savings get passed on to us (spoiler: no).

My reign is pretty well upgraded at this point but I have some frustrations with the geo and rattling. I'm considering getting a 2024 orbea wild at almost 30% off, but I have a feeling I'll want to change to the latest and greatest gear within a year...

It actually does,of course if geo and spec supports it.
150/160 is usually used on bikes that are intended to appeal to many rider types = sell more bikes
Look at the new Wild ST vs Wild,Crestline 160 vs 180,pivot AM vs Lt ... There is a reason these brands offer them.

Exactly, there are exceptions but usually companies spec 150mm rear bikes as trail bikes, and the frames can also be somewhat underbuilt. My previous commencal was 160-150 but an absolute tank that could take on black runs at bike parks and DH tracks. On the other hand current iterations of 160-150 like the AMflow or Rise would best be kept away from anything too technical if you want the frame and parts to last!

I won't buy anything with headset cable routing, Crestline is too expensive, Moustache too heavy, that leaves the Amflow.

Crestline is kind of inline with pivot, Santa Cruz and others for pricing when you look at what the spec is. The pivot shuttle LT xtr is about $750 usd cheaper than the top end Crestline.if you preorder and get the discount from Crestline. The crestline has a better spec and carbon rims. They are all crazy expensive but my point is Crestline doesn't seem worse than any of the others.
