Bosch Gen4 smart - bricked after incomplete update

A friend of mine have KTM with Bosch gen4 smart system. There was a new update released recently so he decided to update SW in the motor.
At the first attempt update went up to 98% and ''update failed'' came up on the app. Bike turned on OK but because ''update failed'' he decided to carry out second attempt to update the motor, after second run update freezezd up at about 40% and from now on - game over. System does not turn on. After turn on attempt LEDs on the handlebar remote are blinking for a few seconds and all is dead.

Now the question is, did someone experienced similar issue with new SW update ?
Will the Bosch authorised LBS be able to hardwire to the motor and carry out firmware update ?

I had issues with previous update, but LBS managed to fix it straight away. So I would say take it there and see.

A small update. Bike went to the LBS and firmware was done via cable. All sorted out.

Is often worth re-starting your phone before doing an update, and making sure it's set to stay active whilst it's happening with any power saving options turned off.

Also leaving it near to the bike and ideally away from anything else which might cause any interference, like wifi cameras, microwave ovens (normally the worse offenders for knocking out bluetooth or wifi) and anything else bouncing around in the highly populated 2.4ghz zone.
