Hi all, my Whyte’s going in for first service shortly, so I’m wondering what everyone thinks about tour+, don’t know whether to go for it or just stick with tour, which I do use quite a lot to be fair.

I'm still undecided, I have one of each.
On one hand it's a nice auto mode, on the other, it's a pain in the arse when I just just want a bit more assist than eco but don't want emtb.
I'm coming down on the normal tour mode side as I prefer being in control.

Yes, reading what’s been said in other posts, I’m probably thinking I’ll just stick with tour.

I did the upgrade to TOUR+ for several reasons:
- after a while you're getting used to it and use it as seamlessly as EMTB (which is my default mode for the mountains).
- standard TOUR is too strong for flat forrest tracks (TOUR+ starts from lower level of assistance).
- as terrain gets hilly you don't have to switch to EMTB, so you focus more on the track itself.
- battery lasts for longer (usually).

So for me, TOUR+ is a winner.

Following the 3rd ride on my new ebike with Bosch Tour + mode and riding up the same hills, I find it a bit less powerful than Trail mode on my Shimano E8000 bike. Make of that what you will, but I feel you need to put a bit more effort in than the Shimano, but it seems to impact on the range in a good way. It’s taking a bit of getting used to but its growing on me. I’ve never tried TOUR mode though so no idea whether that would suit me or not. You definitely need to put a bit of effort in for it to react or it feels like your in ECO.
