Hi everyone, I think this is the correct area. I have a 2023 Orbea Rise M10 with a Shimano EP801. I have been looking for a bash guard to protect my sprocket when going through the terrain in New England, rocks, roots and more. I have been getting various info as to what can and cannot be done. After talking to several after market manufacturers of bash guards and then confirming with Shimano, short answer is DO NOT DO IT! Although the EP801 has mounting holes Shimano has said you will likely crack the motor housing. Oh well. Happy trails.
