Hi- I starting a new ebike build. The carbon frame is set up for the Bafang BT F03 battery, which has the dimensions 334mm x 73mm x 86mm and is 43v.
I have many 48v chargers and batteries and do not want 43v. I was thinking of ordering the M510 set up for 48v and using a custom battery.
For example, there are many scooter batteries, 48V, 30amp continuous output (which is more than sufficient), and has similar dimensions 240mmx85x70mm which will easily. Furthermore, the cost is far lower and for shorter rides and I can go far lighter with a smaller battery.
Can custom batteries be connected to the M510? The reason I ask is that the Bafang BT F03 has a com protocol CAN.
Also- does anyone know the cell size used in the Bafang? The cell size for the custom batteries are usually 2600mah.
Thank you.
