Pics/suggestions for a sturdy e-mtn bike stand. My road bike stand just isn't strong enough to hold it up. Anything out there you made for the job? Thanks.
Forgive me fellas. I need a stand for cleaning and maintenance.do you mean a stand for storing (like they would use to display bikes in a shop) or for maintaining?
If the latter, check this thread Bike stand for EMTB - EMTB Forums
Awesome pic by the way!@Jessy - I have several of these for sale as looking at importing, obviously bias but they are rock solid stands for either front on rear wheel. holds up to 29ers and I have three sizes - 2.6, 3.25 and Fat bike 5.25!!

Thanks for the info! Have a great weekend. If you have hollow cranks you could do a lot worse than one of these FJM stands...

Have a search on Facebook for “FJM Custom Bike Stands”
https://dbyvw4eroffpi.cloudfront.ne...0/1000/Park-Tool-PCS-92-Home-Repair-Stand.jpgI’ve got the park tool pcs 9.2 and it is very good for my needs, fine for heavy emtb’ s as well. Sturdy and well made, and the price isn’t that bad, about £150 I think, but you might get deals. And it should last years.
I recently took a punt on a generic cheapie from ebay for £28, rated up to 30kg.
Looks identical in every detail to the £45 BikeHut stand from Halfords.
Might not be as good ultimately as a Park, but It is completely adequate, for a fifth of the price.
I've started looking too!Have you got a link to it? I need a decent stand now.
You have to buy that separate, its 20 quid from halfords. That looks good, but the Halfords one doesn’t come with the cross bar support. Which one is yours?
For a decent sturdy & quality stand, good enough for simply turning the back wheel & cleaning the chain & cassette, I use these:
Rear fork stand "Stilo" - Ideal to be used like display stand
Due to the 2 adjustable hooks, it is suitable for every type of rear fork and wheel diameter, do not interfere whit wheel spokeswww.giomabikestand.com
currently available on Amazon for around £25

Just set the stand up so all the weight is on the top hook with the bottom hook acting like a guide with a slight gap beneath the cables on the lower stay. That’s what I’ve done... works well.I‘ve just got one of those this week. Only issue is, where the rear of the bike rests on it, all the cables run along the bottom, so I’m concerned about resting the weight of the bike on the cables.

This is a great idea - I get worried about using the dropper post to attach to my stand with the weight of these bikes. Just ordered a cross bar from Amazon to use with my stand! Thanks for the idea.
