The bike isn’t available in the US, I wouldn’t trust any of those sites. I wouldn’t be surprised if that first one gets shut down by DJI. You’d be better off finding a legit retailer in Asia and importing one yourself.

I just looked at the first one. Not sure about that!

Looks like some kind of company that drop ships stuff, I dont think this is Amflow direct. I found another site from them below that uses the same Shopify website template.

Loomanade, LLC is the company behind it as far as i can see.

They operate this site: LMND - For the Thrills

Considering their email address is: [email protected] I'd stay well clear!

Google streetview of their address: Street View · Google Maps

If the new eBike laws as presented take effect in CA the Amflow won't be legal there any way, as well as that sites other models.

Francis Cebedo in NorCal just put up his unboxing video today. He got the bike from E-Bike Premier in Northridge. Their web page shows that the bike is available for pickup. I don't go to Northridge often as it's on the other side of town, but Google Street View shows that they're a legit bike store.

FWIW, not sure we would see any Amflow over there but something interesting to know: Biden administration finalizes US crackdown on Chinese vehicles yesterday.

Everything that is connected is supposedly a threat to USA, so they ban all smart cars/trucks from Chinese - don't matter if it is assemble or partially assemble on US ground, not sure if it would applied to smart bike. Should be enforce around '27 if I get it correctly.
Yes bike is not a car/truck but you see their mindset.

As always it is also a hidden (illegal) economic protectionism behavior.

Apparently that does not make it legal in any way as Amflow above state.

I would be also careful about the delivered bike for US people.

Motor are tight to regulations speed, so I hope you would not get our 25km/h speed limit from UE!
Might be able to be changed from service dongle but usually totally locked and unavailable otherwise easy to counter then.

Any serious company would require proof of residence, invoice, dealer registered partner location to do so - at least Trek & TQ are doing it like this - to let a registered dealer change the country.

In the end, I don't know but be cautious.

FC's vid says the speed limit is geolocated, so it adjusts to location.

They just ship Amflow sold in China to the US. There is no other difference.
At present, the versions of Amflow bicycles sold in various countries are the same, so this website is just to give Americans who want to buy Amflow a chance to try it out.

I chose this name because I bought it on their website, and if I was deceived, more people would see it. But now I have successfully received the goods, and the Amflow bike seems to be fine.

Amflow may not like what they're doing but it is completely legal for a 3rd party to import a company's product.
Problems may/will occur if/when a warranty case is filed.

This is not really true. You cannot import any product if it is not under your country certifications and allowed to be sell there.

I can import a motorbike or a car from USA or China to Europe, I will still need need to comply to local regulation. If they do not know it I cannot ride it on road.

Dropshipping exist but that does not mean it is legal either.

If you could tell us what month it will launch in the US would be a godsend... the anticipation is killing me. :)

Isn't Forbidden coming out with two dji powered eebs this spring? I'd be inclined to wait for something more legit than that noname amflow frame if I'm spending that kind of money.

At least one yes, but I would be also very careful, they have absolutely no experience in emtb. Going with motor might also changed their dynamic like the position of the shock cf what happened with the Vala.

Who knows how they drive and if they would be as good as analog or even the crestline.

I’d trust Forbidden over Amflow any day of the week, Amflow has no bike experience period. Forbidden has been building bikes since 2019, I’m sure the e-bike they release will be good. I’ve seen a few leaked pics of it and it looks awesome. If it rides anything like the Dreadnaught then it will be a damn good bike.

It will be interesting to see FC's full ride report. So far, the demo testers speak of the frame being flexly. I would personally ride it in the mullet configuration, which may help minimize the rear swingarm/ linkage flex with the smaller, stiffer rear wheel. The stock stem has been mentioned as an issue with flex also, but can be easily upgraded. Its listed at $ 7500 US which is a nice value. I wonder about the proposed US Dealer network and support, as well; as warantee. Very interesting bike.

I can foresee anything DJI being completely banned in the US before too long, especially after they removed geofencing for airports and sensitive sites for their drones.

Just replacing the bars, stem and tyres makes a massive difference.

And an even bigger difference is changing wheelset, going mullet and adding a 38 170 fork.

They went a bit too light on everything if you’re used to chucking big burly e-bikes down enduro tracks and want to do the same on Amflow.

Amflow is a good light weight trail bike with a ridiculously good motor and battery / electronics package - but it’s possible to make it much much better by changing a few things.

But would have been better out the box with some spec changes IMO, to make it a better all round ebike.

As Rob states above, changed my cockpit to a one up carbon bars/stem and that was the majority of the flex gone, wheels were swapped out for my trusty HX1501s and that pretty much eliminated all flex feeling.

At this moment it´s just rumour, there is no official information from @forbidden about that. The rumours tell it will be launched in Sea Otter Classic festival.

The reality is that the average E-bike rider is not at the level of you or the average bike tester. So, the stock spec is a good fit for the average rider.

Also, the Amflow weighs 49-50#s once upgraded so there is that to contend with, as a large selling point, nearly mid-power weight in a full power package, is negated.

I'm waiting for the rumored Forbidden e-Druid 150/ 160 myself as my Relay replacement, but I don't think that it'll weigh anywhere near the claimed 43#s. That said, Forbidden builds fantastic bikes and I feel this is a good fit for what I do.
