Hi
I am from nz and we are taking pre orders for djis now. My question is in regard to delimiting. As nz has a legal emtb limit of 45 kph will we be able to delimit this motor to that speed as per happens with the shimano ep 801. I have not managed to get this answer from any source yet but it is the most critical factor for me to understand before I place my pre-order
Thanks in advance

I’m not the authority on this but the bikes have several region codes built in so presumably Amflow will/have created a regional code for New Zealand!

@Amflow_Support - I finished my last ride (1.12.24) with 44% battery reserve, since then the bike has been in a heated room in switched off condition (no SIM card, no theft detection active) Today, 12 days later, the battery indicator shows only 39%. Is such a heavy discharge when the bike is switched off normal?

Hi, @ggx! The prices listed on our website are inclusive of VAT for the respective countries. For other countries where the product has not yet been officially launched, the final prices including VAT are still to be determined. Thank you for your understanding and interest!

Hey, Biano44!
Regarding your inquiry,
1. The Amflow PL, powered by the DJI Avinox drive system, calculates cycling distance and speed using the rear wheel's speed sensor (wheel speed * wheel diameter), not the actual distance and speed, as it doesn't have GNSS or IMU. As such, the actual tracking will not be completely same as the tracking on Strava.
2. The functions of the 4g function with SIM card are as follows:
①Connect with the Avinox App via the 4G network to enable remote viewing of bike status and device settings.
②Remotely view the real-time location of the bike.
③Track movement history in case of bike theft.
Hi Amflow_Support. your answer doesn't seem to make sense as when I looked at the specs page it clearly states it has gnss and an IMU ?

  • GNSS

  • GPS + Galileo + BeiDou + GLONASS + QZSS
  • Sensing System

  • Built-in IMU, barometer, compass, ambient light sensor
    Torque/cadence/wheel speed sensors

Taken from this page DJI - Official Website

Is this not correct ?

Hi, @Nick_V! Sorry for the misunderstanding. The Avinox drive system does have GNSS and IMU, Cycling Tracking is recorded by the built in GNSS. However, GNSS and IMU do not participate in the calculation of cycling distance, which has resulted in a deviation from the data on Strava.

Hi, @Chairman! There are indeed different speed limits for e-bikes, including the 25km/h and 32km/h limits. Our initial speed limit setting of 25km/h was based on the CE certification standards commonly adopted within the Commonwealth. As we have not yet officially launched our products in New Zealand, our preliminary speed limit settings were based on these broader standards, which is 25km/h.

Thank you for your inquiry and interest in Amflow.

Regarding Avinox, if you have related cooperation needs, we suggest you visit the DJI Avinox official website and click on the ‘Contact Us’ page to leave your information.

As for the frames, we currently do not have plans to sell Amflow frames separately. However, please stay tuned to our official channels for any updates in the future.
We appreciate your understanding and support.

Any plans to add Romania as a sell location? Strangely it's the only one from the EU missing....
Hi Bogdan_CH! Thanks a lot for being interested in Amflow! About Romania, we’re definitely planning to sell there. Sorry our site doesn’t show it yet, but I’ve let our web team know about your feedback.

Hello carlito bandito! It seems like there might be an issue with your battery. Could you please send the following information to [email protected]? Our senior engineers will take a closer look:

  1. Serial Number of the bike
  2. Where you bought the bike
  3. Photos or videos of the error (if you have any)
  4. When the issue occurred or can be repeated (from 1.12.24 to 13.12.24)
  5. All log files from your bike
  6. Your location
To export the log files, just follow these simple steps:

  1. Turn on the bike by pressing and holding the power button on the control display for 2 seconds.
  2. Connect the USB-C port on the control display to your computer with a USB-C to USB-A cable.
  3. Your computer will show a USB drive notification.
  4. Open the USB drive folder, gather all files, and export them.
  5. 1734345174240.png
A few notes:

  1. You can tell if the log files are the latest by their sequence numbers. Higher numbers mean newer files.
  2. Make sure the control display is on to export log files; you don't need to unlock it.
  3. Use a USB-C to USB-A cable for exporting. USB-C to USB-C cables won't work.
  4. Mac users should use a docking station to switch from C to A port, then connect with an A-C cable.
  5. Data usually exports at 20 Mb/s. If it's slow, try another cable or computer.
  6. Valid data is typically over 1 GB. If it's only a few hundred KB, please double-check.

The fact there are no local bike shops around here selling the Amflow is one thing that is seriously putting me off buying one.
I don't drive and if I need support, I'm guessing I'd have to pack the whole bike up and send it off somewhere.

Mines back in the shop after one ride, the battery is held in with 2 M4 screws, one under the screen the other near the motor, there is a threaded brass insert moulded into the battery housing which the screws fasten into to hold the battery in place. The bottom brass insert has been pulled out of the battery housing.

Waiting to hear back tomorrow hopefully what the plan is.

This could be the most interesting thread of the year, for many reasons.
It's either going to be spectacularly good or terribly bad.
I'm just not sure.

It's growing legs though

Hi @Pyr0! We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of not having a local dealer near your area that sells Amflow. We completely understand your concerns about after-sales services. Please rest assured that if a new dealer opens near your location, we will update the list immediately. You can also share your preferred store with us, and we will take note of your suggestions. Additionally, you can visit any of our authorized dealers for after-sales service. Thank you for your interest and understanding!

I was surprised to see M4 screws! Would prefer M5 minimum preferably M6, definitely feel like a guinea pig with this bike.

Hi, we will see how yourselves and the shop communicate?? Both myself and dandare bought our bikes from the same shop, both of us dropped the bikes off at said shop yesterday, both broke after 1 ride. They have said they will contact you today, let’s see how quick of a response we get. I doubt either of us will get our bikes back before Christmas now. 🤞🤞

Did you try anything which was suggested in the thread we created which is specific to your problem ?

So far all you did was say it didn't work. Then say there was no other information you could give. Followed by saying you were taking it back and didn't want to try and fix it yourself. You then changed your mind and asked how to fix it. Then said you'd taken it back. (We moved that post from here to there as it was more relevant for anyone following).

However, you didn't respond or update anything with your experiences or testing which might actually help yourself or anyone else with a similar issue down the line.

Obviously you're completely entitled to complain, but if other forum members and Amflow support are giving you information and/or making suggestions it might be in your own benefit to use that information so you know more about the bike, how to do things and how to avoid/fix any future issues you may have.

Hope you get your bike fixed and back ASAP.

An update from Amflow for my battery fastening issue.

They are supplying a new battery, I’ve asked the shop via email what sort of time scale, as they were closed by the time I received the good news I’m hoping they will give an indication of time tomorrow.

Well done mtbmonster and Amflow

Much appreciated
