Thanks! On Rob live feed, mechanic showen not much space left (back) on Carbon model with original 2.6.
So 2.8 and 3.0 will definitely not fit, Alu is the same geometry.
Is that with the 700Wh battery?New Levo Comp Carbon size Large weighs 20.5kg!!!
I just ordered mine in Texas and it was end of November. BUT I got the Comp Carbon in blue and the other color (red?) was supposed to be coming in December. So depending on the model and color the delivery dates could vary.Still wondering if anyone (maybe Al Boneta) has any answers:
I was planning on getting this new revised Levo this week and making the Pike into a 160mm also, glad you chimmed in on that. Any negatives on changing it to the 160mm? Or should I just sell the new Pike and get a Lyrik? Most importantly: I am 6’2 with a 33” inseam. Would you get a Large or Xl and why? I’ve rode a stumpjumper fsr 29 for years in a Large with farily short stem. Short stem is always good and maybe the XL has better higher front end? Wheelbase wider better in E bikes? With the adjustable command seats though, maybe the Large is better? Looks like the new Levo has long top tube but what size to get? By the time the bike arrives in the shops, I might grow another inch, heres why:
Was told by a dealer today (just like last year this time): “The new bikes will not be available till Feburary”. Seems like the norm here in the USA, show them the new bike now, wet their appetites, but make em wait and let them go snow skiing, then they can get this in the Spring. Why? Maybe Specialized likes Europe more and supplies arrive fast? By Febuary might as well wait for the 2020, and keep repeating the process. Who wants to wait till Febuary to get this old tech?
Largest 29er would be 2.8 but it would be close, mud buildup might be an issue.Does anyone know the largest tire that could fit on the aluminum Turbo Levo FSR on the 29" wheels (would 2.8" or 3.0" tires fit)?
Also for North America, will the maximum speed be 20mph (32km/hr); or 15mph (25km/hr) like in Europe?
Thats what my dealer told me as well here in the UK. I took one of the bikes he had ordered in Carbon/Green as the Grey/red (which looks blue to me) was realistically the beginning of next year.I just ordered mine in Texas and it was end of November. BUT I got the Comp Carbon in blue and the other color (red?) was supposed to be coming in December. So depending on the model and color the delivery dates could vary.
2.6You have to change to the 27,5 rims, if you wan't 2.8 or 3.0 tires

If I'm not mistaken, this is the fork that is on the entry model, right?
RockShox Sektor RL DebonAir Boost 29" Suspension Fork - 2019 Model
One question, as a total beginner, what is wrong with this fork?
As a beginner nothing would be wrong with it. It would be flexy for a guy like me and not high end enough for bike snobs. If I'm not mistaken, this is the fork that is on the entry model, right?

i have no clue about bike components, but for 4,5k Euros i expect some high end bike ? especially for beginners?!
I was stuck and still am on my 1st ebike decisions...components did confuse me and along with prices of bikes. I've sort of chosen to look back into possibly 2018 levo as there maybe some deals to be had and dealer network plus blevo app seems very usable for my plans .
But then I like other bikes also.

Thok....for a novice like myself It's a case of trying to see what fits yourself better ...I appreciate customer support and as such tank it high on my list....if I lived near berkshire cycles no doubt I'd already own a bike
okay thanks, mate. good to know... i like specialized and the design of the levo, so maybe i will buy the comp over the base model.Well, you have to look something other than Specialized if you expect some high end components on a 4,5k€ bike. The 5,7k€ Comp has nothing high-end but perfectly acceptable specs on a 150mm travel ebike.
+1 for NO... same parts except the Fox entry level suspension instead of RockShox but in practice, they are the same.okay thanks, mate. good to know... i like specialized and the design of the levo, so maybe i will buy the comp over the base model.
is the carbon model worth the price compared to the comp?
I might just go buy one of these. Holly crap
It's good for beginners to put them on the upgrade path. Buy the cheapest crap and upgrade it to a proper one in a year... Better to buy a Comp if somebody wants to enjoy the riding even if he/she is a beginner.
Well, my first condition was Hyper yellow/green color, which thankfully they deliver with Entry model. So basically the main difference to the Comp model are breaks and front fork, right? Saddle and rear derailleur not worth mentioning. I don't need Dropper post, don't ask me why, just look at my avatar.
So if we do the math, what can I buy for 1.200 EUR that I saved not buying Comp?
Better breaks, better fork than Comp, better rear derailleur and I still have money to spare, especially if I sell the original components, wouldn't you agree?
Which fork would you then recommend, if we go that road in the future RockShox Pike RCT3?

Better breaks SRAM CODE R set(244 EUR), better fork RockShox Pike RCT3 (699 EUR), better rear derailleur SRAM X1 (144 EUR) and I still have money to spare, especially if I sell the original components, wouldn't you agree or am I missing something?
