How does blewn torque sensor look like?
I'm assuming its like an old skool strain gauge, a bit like you have on car rolling roads/brake testers, but a lot smaller.
Does that help
How does blewn torque sensor look like?
A friend who goes for long ride outs on his motorbike has been joined by his wife during lockdown, she's lovely but very chatty. Apparently his Bluetooth headset 'develops a fault' after a mile or so.
That's right for all manufacturers. The elephant in the room is the fact that e mtbikes are not really fit for purpose and the manufacturer’s need to get their act together.
With the above said, what would you buy then? And what do you expect from another brand? No problems? ?I’ve cancelled an order for an AllMtn 7
Agree. All eBikes are way overpriced. How come you can buy a motorcycle or small car for the same money as an emtb and they just run and do the job without buggering about with them all the time.
That's right for all manufacturers.
Every make has its problems and issues.
There is no exception.
With the above said, what would you buy then? And what do you expect from another brand? No problems? ?
Agree. All eBikes are way overpriced.
But if you want one now, you have to pay the price.
But the main problem is the reliability and the service offered by the LBS.
Most of them aren't very good in afterbuy services. And in these strange times they get away with it.
I tried to order a 29er Michelin eWild in a local bike shop.
First shop refused to help me because the boss said Michelins are no good and he won't sell them to me. Instead I should buy Schwalbe.
Second shop wasn't aware that Michelin eWilds even exist.
Third bike shop made clear (in an unfriendly manner) that he only orders the tyre if I exactly know the parts-number because he doesn't want to search for it.
After we had a look in his computer together, he ordered the eWild which then came two weeks later because he didn't order the same day when I was there. Instead he waited another five days to collect some more orders to save money on shipping. Still he wanted to charge me all the shipping costs.
Now what's the point of this text?
If you're not able to do most of your repairs on your own, you're screwed.
Order as much spare parts as you can before you have an issue.
Try to understand the function of the bike-parts and their impact on the bike.
And finally your wallet should contain some bigger bills ?
The whole thing is a perfect storm.
Lack of supply, reasons above, new tech, bad owners. What could possibly go wrong.
Same applies for MotoCross bikes. At the end of the day we’re talking about metal machined parts running in a mud and sand grinding paste. It’s never going to work unless you strip it and clean it often and even then it has a finite life span.
Morning all. I want to thank you all for taking the time to answer and give feed back here on the forum, I'm Taurus so I fly off the handle quick, I am putting so much effort into my channel its a passion project and its grinded to a halt, literally. When you love something so much you become defensive and for that I apologise to you all.
I really wanted it too be a success. I am the first to admit my lack of mechanical knowledge, iv been riding for over 12 years owned, muddy Fox, x2 treks, Claude butler, orange crush, marin mount vision, and my Haibike, I love to ride.
When things have gone wrong in the past iv had somebody who loved to tinker and fix things and genuinely enjoyed doing it, they are not with us anymore so it's either I try and do it or get in bike shop.
My brakes video which I thought was grit on rotar was a big mistake yes BUT I showed that mistake and what I had done and what the issue, not an easy decision to show that video but it showed what other riders with little mechanical experience may do as well some channels only show riding or the good stuff I want to be honest and show it all.
I will not accept from anyone I'm not passionate about riding or my channel. Period. Its all I have that brings me any joy.
Nor do I accept that that I can't say I'm disappointed having ridden less than 40x I expected parts to last longer, there is no right or wrong answer.
So I thank you again for your feedback iv taken it on board and made me realise I could ask you lot before jumping the gun, we learn we grow we appreciate., we... Hopefully ride.
Much love. Andy.
PS. The guy who requested to send me a private message on Facebook you know who you are. Come meet me say it too my face it was totally uncalled for. .. I will wait.
Do you know which video it was of Sam dunking his bike under water? Was it you I warned about riding through deep water ?
Those electric motors are not biscuits .
Sam Pilgrim has some things to answer to . I saw him dunk his Haibike past the cranks and say its no problem .
Don't touch the brakes then or you'll have air in it.I suggest you turn the bike upside down in the garden.
in a sealed hydraulic system? I don't think soDon't touch the brakes then or you'll have air in it.
It's not sealed.in a sealed hydraulic system? I don't think so
I think we're talking about not pulling the brake lever and popping the pistons out! It's not sealed.
If you have your bike upside down and pull the lever, chances are that air might be sucked in.I think we're talking about not pulling the brake lever and popping the pistons out!
