625 VS 500 W Range?

So I have a Trek Powerfly 4 with a 500W battery. Been riding farther and I am bumping into the limit of the battery. On relatively flat and smooth pavement in Eco, I get about 50 miles of range. On hilly roads, I get about 40 to 42 miles of range.

I am thinking of purchasing a 625W battery. Does it actually give 25% more range on average?

My buddy rides with a 500 battery and I ride the same trails with the 625, we’re both similar weights, but I get slightly more range. I’m not sure its 25% because he’s on a shimano motor and I’m on a Bosch, but I can get a few miles more. My other bike is a levo wi5h a 700w and that’s insane.

500 + 25% = 625 so yeah it's 25% increase.

On commuting tyres and a pretty flat route into work, I'm getting very roughly 1 km per % on the Levo's 700 Wh battery, i.e. getting on for 100km. Surprised the hell out of me. Mind you, a lot of that time is spent over 25 km/h.

Off road with my portly build, much less. No useful numbers, though.

I ride a 1000 wh setups on my deristricted bosch gen 2.
Commuting and xc routes Give me a +-150 km range on eco with an average speed of 30km/h most of the time

25% more capacity gives you 25% more range if you don't account weight difference which is marginal.. so yeah it gives you 23% percent more range .

I don't think that will be a problem. I am pretty disciplined and stay in Eco the majority of the time. Its just I am going on longer rides and by the end I am extremely tired. When the battery runs out, it feels like I am dragging a boat anchor.

All depends how much effort you want to put into it. I can get 55miles out of my fiancés Giant SyncDrive Core motor with a mere 400Wh battery on rail trail travel hardpack gravel using mostly Eco1/2. Key is to use as little as possible, unless you need a little few minute rest. Battery/body discipline is a thing.
