I am looking to replace the 34t chainring on my Thron with 36T.
Has anyone done this? Clearance looks pretty tight for the chainstay, not sure if it will fit.

Ye gods! You must have legs like tree trunks! With the 32t chainring and the 10t sprocket, I'm pushing 40kph at 80rpm.

If I'm going to be doing those sort of speeds for long, then I'm on the wrong type of bike.

Of course, if you are like my mate who soft pedals in turbo everywhere at 40rpm to stay under the motor assist cut-off, then a wicked chainline won't worry you too much and you can switch to a spider with a separate chain ring which you can shim out to miss. Just expect to break chains changing under load into the big ring at the back.

Hi, i think is a good idea because i usually use tour mode and pushing hard even on the hills i'm always on the final part of the sprockets with 95/100 cadence. With a 36 bigger chainring i also will get better chainline.

Have you finally did it?

Thx best regards.
