27.5 vs 29” let’s Mass debate !! What’s best ??

I've got everything from 24" to 29"....and as long as the tyre fits the rim and it's fun to ride, I don't care about wheel size

most people ive met that have moaned about a 29" being lazy in turns are running to wide a tyre
Get your balloon tyres off put some proper tyres on and get riding we dont need anymore than 2.4" tyres on anything compound and the right tread for the job is more important .

I've always hated plus tyres on any bike but still prefer the characteristics of a 26" front wheel to a 27.5 or 29" as their initial turn in and direction change is quicker.
It's not worth moaning about though. It's just personal preference.

How tall are you? I am 183cm eMTB neophyte and I prefer a mullet 29”—27.5”, to my 29”—29” hard-tail.

Big front wheel rolls easily over large obstacles, smaller rear feels like it has a bit more torque. When climbing steep hills I have to watch-out for unintentional wheelies. However, going downhill on a mullet feels just awesome!

Very tight trails- go with the shorter wheelbase, though these wheelbases are so long with e-bikes, that maybe it does not matter. I am a 29er fan though my E is 27.5+ (3.0 tires). I have been on 29ers since 2007/2008 or so. I never really loved a 27.5 that I tried, though some were decent. The 29ers roll better and maintain speed better but 90% of the time, I am on my regular 29er, so I now use the e-bike (Pivot Shuttle) for the occasional recovery ride. A lot will depend on your height and trails. Here in Colorado, 29ers rule and I'd guess 80% are 29ers.

Pretty hardcore..that saddle though has already brought tears to my eyes..just need some Fox 76's on the front to iron things out a bit and jobs a goodun

Considering they are made from the same materials, 27,5 still keeps being lighter and stronger than 29. That is a fact.
