So, now we know about the Turbo Levo Gen 3. Several YT vid reviews out there to see if you search.
Here’s a news blog item. Specialized hits the trail with new Turbo Levo e-MTB
It’s still the Brose 2.2. It has a firmware update and a new belt, but that sounds like what they did last year. Is is a second new belt? I can’t tell.
The big news is the suspension linkage which is approximately inherited from lasts years award winning normally aspirated frame. Lots of options from slack to upright.
It a mullet.
But it also has a longer wheelbase, although the chain stays aren’t too long (Mullet).
Top of the range has Fox 38. I didn’t see specs lower down the range.
It’s still expensive ???
Anybody got anything to add, for example about the Kenevo?
Other than the "Kenevo Prime" drop in the video release, I don't think there is any new, official info. I have read anywhere from "it's imiminent" to release, to 6 months from now... My guess is that they space the announcements out a tad, to get a lot of orders on the uber-spec'd Levos. To me, the two bikes (if rumors hold for the Ken SL), speak to different market segments, but there would be a bit of overlap in intent.

Did i read it right , starting at 8k for the expert? They have to recoup some of the cost for the 1000s of replacement motors/ power leads/TCUs, extended warranties thats been fitted gratis in the world !!!
These prices are obscene, when are they gonna be in the shops ( post covid) ??
Had gen1 kenevo for 18 months, now on a Trek Rail, stonkin bit of kit, wouldnt trade it!

Is there an ETA for when the firmware upgrade enables the auto-pilot feature? I heard there were various styles/settings for the auto-pilot feature? The Wade Simmons feature was meant to be the first released. And then the Danny Hart feature.
I'd rather have the Wade Wilson feature so it self repairs every time the motor shits itself...

Sorry if it's already been asked, but is the battery, motor, tcu backwards compatible with my 2019 Kenevo ? OK, I mean it's all completely different .. but surely they can make technological advancements and improve things but still make them exactly the same ?

I feel cheated .. I thought it would just be like a car, games console, girlfriend - as soon as a new one is available, you can just upgrade the engine, GPU, .......(better not type anything here..) ...

Not sure if it’s been said already, but the previous batteries will NOT fit in this bike. Pretty disappointing for the people who spent a lot of money on a 2nd battery.
it is the same battery but will need the new small plastic parts attached to it that will be available soon. as to how soon, no idea.

I think the eye to eye measurement is 230mm with a stroke of 60mm.
If the S works comes stock with a Fox x2 coupled with the fact that its FSR 4bar instead of flex stays (thank the bike gods!!), I remain convinced a Fox DHX2, DVO Topaz or, Push Elevensix would be compatible.
According to Spesh site the new Levo has same shock dimensions as the old Levo, i.e. 210x55mm.

S Works pricing always inflated, so no surprise there really.

Ali version will be sub £5k I understand. Weight increase probably 1/1.5 kg?

Nice new updates. I like the adjustability of the geometry, it'll help those who bought the wrong bike to make it more like the bike they should have bought.
I think the price is reasonable considering the amount of motors you'll get while you own it, it's a bit like a Brose subscription.

Jokes aside, it does look good, but that price...

What a 160mm fork can do and smaller rear wheel. I am guessing frame is the same no? Engine same, battery same.
No the frames totally new, and the motors had some changes too. Its a whole new bike

Not making excuses, but the last S-Works was £12.5k...... Its the S-Works.

Did I see that the Expert was £8k? That's still a little punchy but the 2019 Expert was £7800.

All of the above is a lot to spend on a bike. You don't (or I don't) see that many S-Works around. I live in South Wales though.


There is just the S-Works at 13000 GBP and the Pro at 10750 GBP available at the moment.

As a fanboy I must admit I’m not inpressed with it, still same motor which will have its own thread soon enough. Way over priced . They still going to make the normal levo and that will be advertised as a trail bike and at a cheaper price point. All they have done here is force people to other brands. They’ve got like dog breeders during lockdown. ?‍♂️

Hate to compare but I can get this Ducati for the same price as the S-Works.....ouch!

Waiting for YT to drop their new ebike, For now happily riding my 20 Levo.

Bloody hell, it does feel a bit mental hovering over the buy button on a £13k bike. This year, I need a fecking re-ridge on the roof and a chimney.

Am sad that the frame is £6500. But I guess you're looking at £1k motor, £1k battery, £500 tcu and bits, £700 shock. It's not wholly outrageous compared to other Sworks frames. As others have said, will be interesting to see what the lower models come in at. Seems expensive, but I don't think much stuff is getting cheaper this year :(

Better than a Rolex, I think. Closer to cutting out the middleman. :LOL:

The haters are sure out-in-force today. Sure, it's an incremental evolution. But it's mostly stuff people wanted, and they're not asking for much more than they did for the older comparable versions. The proper response if this package wasn't attractive to you would actually be a yawn, not a rant.

The hype is too much... change a few angles and numbers here and there, do a mullet setup (that other brands were already doing years ago) and now this is the best bike ever ?

I could sell my 2020 Turbo Levo for not much of a loss due to how limited stock is here, but then I probably wouldn't be able to buy a 2022.

Also, I have the extended (4 years) motor warranty for my 2020 (still hasn't failed, currently at 750km) so it might be worth to keep it since that's longer warranty than I would get if I purchased a 2022 today.

Best case scenario is that my motor (which is an older revision) breaks near the end of the warranty and it's covered by specialized but they put in a refined motor that fixed the reliability issues.

Rode the Sworks two weeks ago in Pacifica and I am digging the mullet and geometry. In trails called Two Pines and Amanita where I rode the 2022 Levo back to back with my 2021 Levo, the new Levo is just easier to turn and maneuver on those really tight switchbacks. The steeper seat tube able and longer front-center also put me on a middle of the bike which contributed to a more balanced position.
