We bought Rail 5's and specced them up. Came with 2A (Compact) chargers but bought 4A (Standard) chargers when they came 'on offer'. Charging times:The base model (Rail+ 5) is actually surprisingly well specced, I'd almost go for that one ahead of the 8 or 9.7 and just swap out a couple of things. But it comes with a 2A charger, for an 800Wh battery, not a deal breaker but that thing must take half a day to charge up!
Not good for the fearties that , sitting watching a battery charging for 7+ hours in case it goes on fire.We bought Rail 5's and specced them up. Came with 2A (Compact) chargers but bought 4A (Standard) chargers when they came 'on offer'. Charging times:

Seems like they ditched the 1.8" lower headtube and knockblock for adjustable headset cups.
I am trying to figure out why the 9.8XT has RockShox, and the 9.8GX has Fox suspension?
The geo is kinda weird, huge jumper from M to L, steep enough head angle... But its not clear exactly what adjustments are available from the articles I saw, seems a flip chip + headset cups?
Trek website says size M Rail+ 5 is 25kg more-or-less.Any info on weight?
It`s probably same than in europe, under Rail…I don't see any mention of the Rail+ in North America. Strange...

I don't understand why its not lighter than previous gen. The motor and battery alone are almost 2 lbs lighter. I was told by Trek that the Rail+ will be out mid January in the US.I just saw that the weights are now posted on Trek UK.
The best value model in my opinion is also the lightest at 52.4 lb/23.8kg (Rail+ 9.8XT)
The bike is pretty much the same weight as the previous gen.
