49 nm, ??‍♂️ That’s an eco setting.
I can get 20 miles out of mine on eco with 50 nm. I set trail at 70nm And can get around 18 miles with that set up. 600m elevation.
about 20% less distance than the Bosch set up
Wondering if it is the motor or battery or both that seems to give less range. I have serious Brose/700wh envy, but not enough to buy a Turbo Levo because I like the SC bikes so much. At least the Shimano batteries are a little easier to carry in a back pack.

I don’t see a problem with the range I’ve owed a 2019 Levo and 2020 kenevo both with 700wh battery’s and I’m getting almost same range out of my Bullit.

First long ride on the Bullit, mostly eco some trail for steep rocky climbs. Battery died 2 miles from car but luckily flat/downhill rest of way. Last bar didn’t seem to last very long & switched to off with just one beep

Has anyone directly compared this bike to how powerful and fast it is to a levo or kenevo. I like the bike but I also like the brose motor and its power and wide range of cadence which gives full power.
I can compare, IMO the brose is a little bit more powerful then the ep8 but I’m not missing the brose at all, but to be fair I’m not really interested in who is the fastest up the hill and the Bullit is 110% faster down the hill then then the levo and kenevo I had previously.

Thats interesting. Was your kenevo the 2020?

I find the kenevo to be a lump and very front heavy and not very agile. It's a straight line tank. It's good at what it does but I feel like I want something more lively next time and I'm waiting to see what the new spesh bike brings before I make a choice.
Yes it was a 2020.

Stiff in the UK just got back to me no new bikes till MY 2022, they are opening up for orders next month it will be a bit of a wait till delivery. I am after a copper medium XT with a coil.

Hi, was cleaning the bullit today and noticed a loose bolt on the motor , torqued up no problem. could someone tip their bullit upside down and take a look how your motor is fastened on?
I think it’s strange one side has a washer and one doesn’t also it looks to me that the bolt isn’t long enough as you can see to many threads in my opinion.

They make it sound exactly like what I experience with my kenevo. Down hill monster truck. But lacks agility and pop.
An ex 2020 Levo owner here now with a Bullit. Firstly, the Pink Bike review doesn’t quite say that about pop and it fits with my experience. Secondly, the Bullit is, amazingly, more agile than the Levo in most circumstances. Obviously the Mullet is part of that, but I recon the rear is so much more agile. Also, the weight distribution fore and aft of the bottom bracket feels a little different — but I can’t measure that. I’m in no doubt that I’m in possession of the next gen of e-bikes. Oh, and shocks/forks are so good now that longer travel is not really a disadvantage when looking for more playfulness, especially if you put in a little more pressure as noted in the Pink Bike review. And, lastly, when you tip over into that steep switch back, you’ll not have that niggling Levo feel of maybe going over the bars if you make a mistake ???

Me too. So nice, but also so knowledgeable. They also know heaps about forks/suspension, so ask for advice on that. Talked me through all the options. Advised I get the cheaper S build on the basis of my riding and plans for upgrade over time — how generous is that? They have stock on order.

And.... contact 18Bikes in Hope, Derbyshire, SingleTrack LBS of the year in 2020 for fourth time by my count. They have some coming in and they knowledge is peerless: you may know they build their own frames too.

I contacted Brink as they had the bike listed as 'in stock'. However, when you chat to them, only a few sizes/specs are available. They did agree a good deal on a bike, but I managed to coerce my LBS into the same deal, which makes it far easier to deal with any potential warranty issues. My only concern is the EP8 over the long term. Part of buying the SC is for the lifetime warranty, so you buy their bikes for long term ownership. Given Shimano's 2 year warranty and lack of serviceability, I am concerned about the durability of the main crank bearings. I still use Pace's grease-port bottom brackets on both my bikes and theyre running as good today as they were when fitted many moons ago. They've done numerous UK winter rides and have proven one of my best purchases. I think it's a real shame Shimano couldn't, or didn't want to, design grease-ports into their EP8.

That's great info thank you. I'm 1.98m and 110kg in riding kit, so i'll know how far to plan a ride when I visit the Peaks.

Like Richwall, that’s where I’m riding mine too - a blast. You have so much to look forward to. You’ll smoke your best time down the Roman Road and the Beast may have to be renamed something less sinister???

insane how quick this bike is on the rocky/rough stuff, it just seems to flatten stuff out??

Just been talking to 18Bikes in Hope Derbyshire (U.K.) about something else today and during that they told me that SantaCruz has told dealers that the announcement about the details of the 2022 bikes is being brought forward. Usually that’s about August each year — so sooner than that then. Delivery of the 2022 bikes is expected to fit their usual annual cycle (bad pun, sorry?) which is usually availability to the importers in batches throughout the year in the U.K. , so 2022 delivery is probably not being brought forward. It looks like the main changes for the Bullit will be colours plus minor mechanical tweaks with its exceptional frame continuing ‘as is’, so coil or air can will fit. The nice thing is that the pictures of the new bikes, when they come, will be of the actual bikes, not photoshopped new colours onto the 2021 frame. ?

If Santa Cruz goes with their normal schedule, new Bullit colours would come out summer 2022. And new redesigned frame after 3 year lifecycle, so end of 2023 or early 2024. They don't normally do any mechanical changes during this lifecycle.

Another ride today on the Bullit up at Dalby just shuttling Dh runs, 21.2 miles, 3215 ft of climbing.
2 bars of battery left when i got back to the car. In trail all the ride⚡

Agreed and that fits with confirmed conversation between Santa Cruz U.K. and the exceptionally trustworthy 18Bikes in Hope.
And... then there’s the small issue of whether or not they make a C Carbon frame and/or an alu framed Bullit to add to the current CC Carbon frame.
I don’t think they’ll make an alu Bullit. I can’t decide if I think they’ll make the slightly heavier C Carbon based frame…
Thoughts anyone…?
