I'm a little perplexed after all the motor stories and reading on this forum.
I've seen one or two posts from other 2021 owners stating that their motors also have 2019 serial numbers.
From what I have gathered through the plethora of Specialized spew on the motor saga, it is apparent that the new motor with the hardware upgrades was done after January 2020. So why would a 2019 serial number motor make it into the MY2021 series bikes?
Why I ask this is because I purchased the 2021 Levo Comp and was not satisfied with some components (the motor on this bike was March 2020 and was near silent under load). I took the bike back and paid in extra for the expert carbon model, low and behold the motor was significantly louder than the one I had. Upon inspection in Mission control I saw that the motor had a 2019 serial number.
@Specialized Rider Care - would you be able to provide some clarity here please?
(edit: turns out the motor noise could be different due to frame being carbon. Would still love to know about the serial numbers)
