Thanks @Christian! Do you have the Thule that I pictured, or a Yakima? No concern with pulling 50 lbs on the dropper post? Or did you have it somehow configured not to be hanging from under the seat?
I was using an old heavy duty steel rack. I did use the straps to take the weight off the seat post.

Well. You give up the 700Wh. And you have reduced resale value by a year. And maybe there will be changes no one has spoken about also. And maybe you can get a discount on a 2020 by asking.

Who knows, but the new Enduro is designed to be the Demo's little brother, and given the market for the Kenevo is basically a park/dh bike it would make sense to me that they base it off their dh platform.

However I too can't see how they would integrate motor, without significantly changing the linkage.

Wouldnt take much to raise the pivot to the new enduro so its between and above the motor/battery and use a jack shaft with a internal geared hub within the pivot. Thered be no anti squat but with a motor its not that necessary, or atleast far less necessary. Best to make a split pivot rather than a horsy link in that case but thats not hard. embn has now mwntioned jackshaft bikes 3 times in recent vids(new mechanic guy from gmbn, then Chris and today Steve). Funny how Steve started the show with that and tfansitioned into the new jenevo that he couldnt talk about. They mustve read my comment a year ago on the virtues of a jack shaft on an emtb of course??
Of course specialized will design their own internal gears rather than use rohloff and it will fail spectacularly and we'll be back to square one

Is you watch the embn video with the specialized guys in it they are riding unmarked Levos that are probably the 2020 versions. They looked identical if they were the 2020 version.

This is a great interview. Any time I talk to anyone in the industry I tell them I want two things:
1. Lighter bikes with lower powered motors (like the Creo which is a knockout bike btw)
2. Modular batteries, so I can have the low/low model but add to it (money and weight) if I want to go on an all-day mission. Again, Creo adopts this.
Honestly, I think Specialized are doing a great job here. They went hard investing big in their ebike development ahead of the other large brands who are playing catch-up. Not to say they won't make any mis-steps (the electronics + app of the Vado springs to mind), and not to say that others won't catch them. Just wait for when SRAM enters the e-system market...

Who knows, it might be Toyota?
With a negative economy Ebikes will replace cars.
Walmart will cash in that load of money not Specialized.
But i might be wrong, we will see.

Yes, thats the Expert Carbon 2020.
@jemen - any chance you have or have seen a good photo of the 2020 Sage Green Expert? I have the below stock image, but would love to see an image more like the one posted here of the black 2020 Expert. I already ordered the Sage Green, as my friend ordered a 2020 Expert in black and I didn't want to look like twins :). I like the look of the Sage Green combined with the matte black section, at least in the stock image. But a more real life image like the one of the black 2020 Expert posted here would help to alleviate my fear of having bought a very expensive bike in "Sage Green" without having seen it in person.....

unless they use the Mahle motor, look how far the BB is behind the seat post

It's not completely impossible if you look at the Creo next to the new Enduro. They'd have to rotate the motor. They'd need a much beefier Mahle motor output though for an e-Enduro.

Curious if anyone here in the States is getting any expected delivery for the 2020 Levo’s? I was in my local shop last week, and they were able to pull up the specs and ordering page. Went back this week and was told Specialized took the page down and they weren’t able to order anymore (but they were happy to take a down payment and put me in a line for ordering).
Just wondering if anyone else if having better luck, or if you have been told anything about when they will ship. Other local shops around here I have called are also offering some discounts on remaining 2019’s, like 5% off or tax free.

Well I saw several people talking about the YT and Commecial because the Levo has a poor component spec for the price. But I thought hard about it and decided that one cannot literally feel the difference between NX/GZ and Eagle but one can notice a quieter motor, smoother torque sensing, better resale value, and a more stealth frame. I myself am going to try hard to buy a Levo tomorrow.

You can feel the difference in tyres, wheels, brakes and suspension though ? obviously an easy upgrade though £££

So if I decide to go for a levo instead of the kenevo. Expert or Sworks? Does the extra money equal the extra spec. And what’s the real world weight difference? Or just go base aluminum and build it up

So is there any access to the 2020 base levo colors and specs. If they could be posted too that would be great

For basic, a local shop (Belgium) said over phone, we have 0 info, no photos, we just know colours:
  • Black/white pink (not sure I understood well, curious how this look)
  • Red/black
  • Blue navi/black
I would also love to see spec/photos as I can’t decide between 2019/2020.
