Hi,
I'm new here on the forum, I just recently put in an order for this 2020 Turbo Levo Comp last week, delivery is expected to be midt aug.
and figured you guys would like to see the color options for it.
So this is what I got.

it was only a passing glance but I think I saw a black/black like that outside a pub in Surrey yesterday. has it been used pre-2019?

the 700Wh battery is also 750g heavier. That's well less than 1% of combined bike rider weight, it's your call if that's material to handling for the kind of riding you do.
You are spot on! I just bought a 19 comp and absolutely love it. And 500wh is plenty of juice for me. I only get about 1-2 hours of free time a day, I have 4 children, so the extra battery is just dead weight for me. These bikes are revolutionary, get one now and join the fun!

I think they have finally done a good job on nailing a decent OEM spec with the 2020 Ali Comp, IMO if you ignore the carbon it’s a better real world spec than Expert at a much better price point.

Thanks for the feedback. As we speak, I'm going through the decision of 2020 Alu Comp versus 2020 Expert. In US$, after sales taxes, there's a $2500 difference. ($6500 vs $9000 - again, after sales taxes).

Sounds like you'd maybe say save my money?

Can you give a little more details on what you mean by "better real world spec" than the Expert.

Thanks!

Edit - some additional info on my riding if it helps. I’m not an aggressive rider. I tend to like mostly flowy single track with not too much technical stuff. No big drops, no big jumps. Downhill I tend to be fairly conservative, not a bomber by any means.

Any chance u could zoom in and screenshot the other colours so we could have a closer look?

My apologies for the very poor quality, it's the best I can do with the source picture I have.
As far as I have been told the Black / Black version is the only one of them to be delivered in midt Aug, the 3 others didnt have a set date yet, at the time of my purchase (size XL, if that matters).
But the Black / Black suits me best, it matches my car, and doesn't draw too much unwanted attention.
Plus im pretty sure it would look sick with kashima coated fork, shock and dropper!

Thanks. Appreciate u going out of your way to reply with pics. Been torn between 2019 battleship grey and a 2020 when they come out. Should be able to pick up a 19 in the sales plus a 700 watt battery if the rumours are right on the 2020 price.

You are welcome, it was no problem at all.
And yeah it is a tough decision, I was "lucky" my LBS wasn't able to locate a 2019 Comp (and 700wh) in XL so the decision was kinda made for me.
I would say the 4 main things that speaks for the 2020 is:

RockShox Lyrik Select RC vs (2019)RockShox Revelation Charger RC
RockShox Deluxe Select+ vs (2019)RockShox Deluxe RT
Rear tire Eliminator, BLCK DMND Casing, 2Bliss Ready, 29x2.3" (better clearance I assume)
and the 4th. thing, is any minor improvements that one can only assume will have been made (like a more narrow rear tire).

But on the other hand, you can buy alot of upgrades for $2500

In the end whichever one you choose, im sure you wil have a blast on it !

I also ordered the 2020 Turbo Levo Expert Carbon in Gloss Carbon/Gun Metal. The price is $8,225.00, with delivery "sometime in August". I can't stand any of the 2019 color options, so I ended up ordering the 2020. Almost went for the 2019 S-Works for an even $10k, but just couldn't quite justify the cost difference.

I like the look of that black one.

It's odd re the lack of SWAT chaintool. My '19 Carbon Comp I got a few days ago had one, my friend's that was bought in may didn't.

Wonder why they've downsized the rear tyre from a 2.6 Butcher. Does a Levo really need the 'fast rolling' 2.3 Eliminator?

I got a 2019 comp last week. From the spec above it looks like the only thing I'm missing is the 700wh battery.

Given that I got 20% off, I could go and buy a 700wh battery and I'll still be quids in.
I'm about to pull the trigger as well, but can't quite get 15% off, more like 10 - 12%. However, I have just discovered the Green Commute Initiative that you can pay for the full bike via a ride to work scheme.

I picked mine up last week on the Green Commute Initiative. I had to pay full price to the shop, they wouldn't entertain a discount but of course, I get 32% off anyway ??‍♂️.

I can highly recommend the scheme, it was quick and easy and the bike shop were amazed they were paid before I even picked the bike up so they were really happy with it as well. They only get charged 5% too which is a lot less than other schemes.

Yes, seems like a no brainer

So 2020 Expert is basically 2019 comp carbon with 36 performance fork instead of 34 rythm and slightly better brakes (code R vs Guide RE). And of course 700wh battery. All other specs down to the rear shock are the same, some are arguably better at 2019 comp carbon (seat post f.e.)

No wonder they ditched 2020 comp carbon, there isn’t any room to justify the price difference, the models would be to close to each other.

It would only be fair to name this as upgraded 2020 comp carbon and offer it for 6899€ and skip the Expert :)

2020 Kenevo news! It will be asymmetric like the Levo/stumpjumper. It's basically a long travel E-bike version of Stumpjumper Evo and will still have the brose motor. Due sometime in September and will have models with dual crown forks in the lineup
Hmmm, i wished it would be more like the new Enduro, but it´s ok. The Stumpjumper EVO´s are one of my alltime favourite bikes.

I prefer the RS suspension to the Fox on the expert, and the rest of the components are all good quality, nothing you need to upgrade out the box save for the obvious contact points based on personal preference.

For the riding you are describing I see no point in going for the expert, unless you must have carbon, which IMO isn’t necessary

Perhaps it's a good idea to edit the title into something more "official", like "Specialized 2020 Levo and Kenevo" thread. Can a moderator do this? It will easier for people to discuss this and centralize our discussion. (simple idea, I'm n to az dictator yet).

What would be the most travel a levo could be setup up with? And would 27.5’s with 2.8’s totally mess up the handling. Trying to decide if I should just make my own kenevo.
