I do so many different routes and rides, that some rides have large amounts of riding on main roads full of traffic, and some rides have no road at all. Plus everything inbetween.
On quiet roads I often actually get my entertainment from pulling wheelies. Another problem a 15mph restriction...
I noticed the date of the original post was Jan 2024.
I suffered a motor failure since then, in April 2024. Removed the Levociraptor, reset the de restriction to 0, and the bike shop still replaced the motor under warranty.
So I'm wondering how the person who created the original post got...
Yep de restriction is the only way on the road or it's abysmal
I'm happy to do 25mph on the road. Just using normal MTB gears but in the top gear with the motor propelling me along.
Overtaking roadies and almost keeping up with cars, so very few have to overtake me on most road sections...
I really hope that they raise the legal limit higher than 15mph in the UK or at least in England.
If it was 20mph it wouldn't be too bad and I bet most wouldn't bother de restricting their bikes if it was this
Not only is it ruining Emtb but it's also killing the usefulness of E Bikes for...
That really really sucks if there is no way of de restricting bikes anymore. The limit of 15mph seriously sucks. Who wants to pay £5000+ for an E Bike that doesn't provide power above 15mph ? That limit is only okay if 100% of your riding is steep uphill and steep downhill but unfortunately it...
The battery is 10 months old and has experienced total failure. 3 green lights permenantly lit.
The trouble is the bike is currently de restricted and the TCU won't turn on as a result.
I need to take it to bike shop for another major problem (Frame damage and noise) as well as for a new...
This really is awful news. Is de restriction not viable anymore ? Considering that these motors don't seem to last more than a few months before failure, the warranties are essential
Is the warranty void just on the motor alone or is it void on the entire bike ?
I have put foam weather stripping in the same place that you've put the inner tube. It seems to have sorted it out but now the bike is making mental noises in other places instead
Turbo Levo 2020 Comp. The motor is only a few months old and it has suddenly started getting noiser when the Motor temperature rises above a certain level, it only does it when it has been working quite hard for a while.
It doesn't even have to be in Turbo Mode. But the problems of noise will...
Definetely a job I would rather take back to the bikeshop for than do myself. Motor removal and reinstallation was a suprisingly complicated, tricky, hard, time consuming job the one time I tried it.
How much do the bike shop charge for motor removal, re greasing and motor re installation ?
It has been a very wet Spring following a very wet Winter. 2023 was wet almost throughout and the end of 2022 was wet as well so it feels like it has been bad all the time for a very long time
5th Motor and 13,155.2 km. Turbo Levo Comp 2020.
I will never do well in this department. Extreme mud and water in North West England. Nearly every ride is a constant barrage of water and mud, and very unpleasant without full mudguards front and rear, biggest ones you can get are needed. A...
I've seen people do the Borrowdale Bash with Fleetwith Pike (600m) as an added extension, another possible high level EMTB route but I'm not sure how rideable it is

That's a shame because my only analogue bike these days is a 140mm Hardtail. After buying my Levo I never thought I needed an analogue FS ever again. Would the Hardtail be unsuitable for the downhills ?
Would the 4 Passes actually be harder overall on an E Bike than an analogue bike due to all the hike a bike ?
The walk mode on my bike (Levo 2020) is actually useless. I have to press the little button on the left hand side just as hard as I would have to push the bike if I was walking it.
In the end I sorted this out by taking the car back to Indespension. They had originally fitted a generic wiring kit for this car, they replaced it with a vehicle specific kit. All the aggravating problems with the Park Pilot and loud indicator beeping have now gone!
Does anyone know any accomodation that is suitable for E Bikes in the Lake District ?
I'm wondering if anyone has done any trips there and if they stayed anywhere suitable
I am looking for a hotel or B&B but it needs to have a garage or shed to store the bike. It would be even better if it...
