Sizing is critical here, forget sizing up/down for stability/agility, buy the bike that fits. If he’s on a bike too small, he’ll be sat wrong, hunched up and possibly aggravate injuries. Reach is the most critical, although you can tune that a little with stem length. It’s tough because he...
