Just been asked for a recommendation for a (£2K-3K if poss the lower end) hardtail for a friend, he had a heart attack last year, so is feeling the need to back off, though still wants to get out, but isn't doing anything too technical nowadays.
I simply never look at hardtails emtb, so am...
Big guy here, gone from a 19 Ali Levo with 5k all year round off-road miles, to a 22 Ali Levo. As I’m happy with their performance, excellent handling & real world reliability. No fan boi, as I’d never had a spesch previously, just great bikes.
Trying to connect my Garmin Edge 1000 to my new 22 Levo, and it just ain having it. In fact it connected to my friends bike yesterday, leading me to run out of battery, whilst thinking I had 15% left...
So off I toddle to the Mission control app to find the fake channel setting, but it's...
Limited to ppl running dual clamp... Watching the mud yutters on YT, I noticed one of the guys (sans back pack) carries a pump and tool bag of some sort in front of his headstock, though he is riding a Kenovo with dual clamps, looks like a nice simple/clean setup
(nasty screen shot, but you get...
Got mine out for it 1st ride yesterday, but have been riding my friend for the last 2wks, so knew what to expect. I’ve come from a gen2 levo & though heavier, the gen3 rides so much lighter. Did 5000miles (90% off road), so was very happy with my old one, but a single quick test of my friends...
It’s worth approaching specialized about a motor replacement under their Assisted Replacement if the worst comes to the worst, as they ’cover’ the motor for 5 years. You won’t get a free replacement but they should be able to supply a motor. Seen someone post that they got a new motor & battery...
they do the S6 in all models of the turbo levo (availability might be your issue), only the basic model has the 500wh battery & it is removable. the battery is held in by just one bolt, disconnect the battery connector & it slides out the bottom of the top tube
Cheers for the reply @TrailwattsUK, that‘s a pity as I was under the impression the motor was basically the same as the gen2, I had hoped it would be a straight swap, but life is never straight forwand. Are you selling the Gen3 version of your extended yet, as it’s not listed on your site? (Any...
As above you don't need special tools, but they do make it a lot easier and if you buy it now, you'll have it ready for next time!
I'd expect to pay an hours rate for the mechanic to do the work for you... which could work out similar to the cost of a couple of tools.
Seems to be on pre-order, I was vaguely interested after the Loam wolf review, so had a look around. I haven’t followed up with a shop for an eta though
Hi @TrailwattsUK,
I can see you've added an extender to the Levo Gen 3 bike your selling on your online store, is it the same as the Levo Gen 2 version?
I fancy buying one for my current bike (Levo Gen 2) but plan to move to the Levo Gen 3 at some point and obvious would want to move the...
I replaced my Gen 2's basic Rev's with Zeb Ultimate and it's made a world of difference, not that the Rev's were bad, just the Zeb so much better. The Lyriks would be great upgrade, I only went Zeb as I'm a larger lad, but only you can decide if spending that money is worthwhile or you...
I bought my last bike way back at the end of '19 and they were discounting them, in preparation for the new '20 model
I'm now interested in replacing it and though there does seem to be stock (Spesch Levo), there's seemingly bugger all chance of a discount (well until the new ones are launched...
www.fjmcustombikestands.com (seems a BB with a hole thru it)
No their not pennys, but when did any good come cheap? I've had a Mk2 for since Dec '19 and it the one of the best things I've bought for my ebike. Wash the bike without leaning it up against the wall, oil the chain in 30 seconds...
