Saw that on MBR.

Would certainly explain the liquidation of all the stock.
Another cheeky 25km run up at Woodhill MTB park.
Did mostly XC stuff but had a few runs on the jump lines after attaching my chinbar to protect my beautiful face.
I ride a medium, but I am on the cusp of med/large in most bikes - I have always found Mondrakers to be a slightly long reach, compared to others, but in modern terms they are about "normal" now. It's just that they have been doing long low and slack for a longer time than most.
Short answer -...
Unlike @Astro66 I think the Mondraker would be the better buy - but that's only because I have ridden a Mondraker as a rental and really enjoyed it.
I have only ridden a Cube once and it was an analogue one, but I didn't really like it...which is really comparing apples/oranges to Ford...
I love my Merida and do love the idea of a proper long travel eBike, but for the base(ish) model with Tektro brakes and Cues drivetrain to be NZD$12k? I'd be expecting XT drivetrain and SLX brakes at the very least for that.
And 27kg just seems way too much - I can'teven imagine lifting that...
Didn't get on my bike this weekend, but did get away to a city called Napier, which is famous for its Art Deco buildings.
Went out at sunrise and took a few pics with the phone.
I saw this on Facebook this morning when I got up and to be honest, all I could think about was that it looks like it came out of the mid-2010's.
It's so old-fashioned looking. If it were 1/4 of the price, maybe I could forgive the looks, but there's no attempt to make it attractive at all...
Yup - the ones that lose in this situation are the ones that fail to make the full payments due before interest kicks in.
That's what the finance companies are banking on...lengthy interest-bearing loans being paid on a minimum-payment basis.
I have been wanting an eBike for ages, but could never justify getting one unless I had the disposable cash.
I didn't even consider financing one, as it just wouldn't sit right with me. I don't even finance a car.
I got a bonus and worked out that if I spent a portion of it on an eBike, sold...
I have come to a 150/160 eBike from an analogue 170/170 enduro rig and I have to say, the eBike feels at least as well supported and capable as my old analogue rig.
In fact, I would go so far as to say it feels like it has more capability than my old bike did and feels plusher and better in...
I can answer that from a Shimano EP6 point of view - I bought my bike from a dealer that had just had the Shimano rep in who unlimited mine to 45km/h. I have no issues whatsoever - in fact the EP801 and EP6 are used on a few cargo and commuter bikes here in NZ which have a top assist speed of...
Lots of info here: Changes to WC for 2025 onwards
