Have Merida discontinued the e160 full-fat?

Never mind. It appears (on the NZ-specific page anyway) that all the FS eBikes are there, even including some of the older design frames. Merida NZ - Full Suspension eBikes

Have Merida discontinued the e160 full-fat?

Was just looking at the Merida website and they had the e160SL, e180 and no others that I could find. Have they quietly discontinued all of the Shimano-powered bikes? https://www.merida-bikes.com/fi-fi/bikefinder/tag-group/e-mountainbikes-25/root/e-mtb

Any full-fat enduro e-bikes that are 180 or 170 mm for tall riders?

These also come in XL - getting good write ups and have the 800wh battery https://www.merida-bikes.com/fi-fi/bike/4610/eone-eighty-700

Any full-fat enduro e-bikes that are 180 or 170 mm for tall riders?

Don't Scott have a long travel bike in large sizes? I know it's a 180/180 and rides fairly large because i test rode a couple when looking for my whip. https://www.scott-sports.com/us/en/product/scott-ransom-eride-920-bike?article=290568012

    What is this?

Yeah that looks like a Crown Race with a split in it for ease of removal. I had some chinese air forks that were Fox lookalikes on an Iron Horse I had once. They were OK - better than Suntour XCM's, not as good as Suntour XCR Air's. Sold it a few years ago and saw a guy at the bike park...

    Yamaha withdraw in the US

All the articles I have read state that the 5 year warranty, servicing and parts availability will remain unaffected.

    Yamaha withdraw in the US

Saw that on MBR. https://www.mbr.co.uk/news/yamaha-to-stop-selling-e-bikes-amid-significant-softening-of-the-market-and-challenging-business-environment-442985 Would certainly explain the liquidation of all the stock.

    Pic of the Day

Another cheeky 25km run up at Woodhill MTB park. Did mostly XC stuff but had a few runs on the jump lines after attaching my chinbar to protect my beautiful face.

I was trying to work out why there was a sign stating that it was this way to Derwent and A Shop. Just the one shop?

    Help me decide which bike?

I ride a medium, but I am on the cusp of med/large in most bikes - I have always found Mondrakers to be a slightly long reach, compared to others, but in modern terms they are about "normal" now. It's just that they have been doing long low and slack for a longer time than most. Short answer -...

    Help me decide which bike?

Unlike @Astro66 I think the Mondraker would be the better buy - but that's only because I have ridden a Mondraker as a rental and really enjoyed it. I have only ridden a Cube once and it was an analogue one, but I didn't really like it...which is really comparing apples/oranges to Ford...

Comment by 'HandsomeDanNZ' in article 'Bosch-powered Merida is here – the eOne-Sixty SL and eOne-Eighty intro and test'

I love my Merida and do love the idea of a proper long travel eBike, but for the base(ish) model with Tektro brakes and Cues drivetrain to be NZD$12k? I'd be expecting XT drivetrain and SLX brakes at the very least for that. And 27kg just seems way too much - I can'teven imagine lifting that...

Didn't get on my bike this weekend, but did get away to a city called Napier, which is famous for its Art Deco buildings. Went out at sunrise and took a few pics with the phone.
