Just been out on my 2019 Levo for first time after latest OTA updates. Didn't really notice any discernible difference to the ride, although I did have to delete and re-pair ANT+ profiles for speed/cadence and power on the Garmin Edge, and also re-pair as a new motor in the Garmin Connect iQ...
This is welcome news @Tobi_Laka as I now have over £20k on risk and some ways of tweaking the share of the pack cost would be good. For example, the main advantages for me of Laka are no depreciation, quibble-free claim process (take your word for this as have never claimed), no ground anchor at...
There’s photos of my Caddy Maxi above in this thread from last year, with a size L Levo in the back. Fits OK on a bike rack with both wheels on and a couple of straps on the tie-down eyelets. Obvious less space than a Transporter but more car like to drive and easy to live with as a daily...
I get occasional “stop” on my Levo, the first things I’d try checking are TCU software update and that the magnetic speed sensor on the rear rotor is free of debris.
Thanks, I know and have been using and recommending the premium version of Jan's Ebike Field Connect iQ data field for nearly two years. When I got first got the Levo, using the native eBike sensor and either built-in fields or the Specialized Turbo Connect iQ app was very flaky, whereas the...
Jumped in to contribute my £0.02 on internal bike transport and accidentally stumbled on an automotive pissing contest.
I transport my Levo (size large) with both wheels on in a VW Caddy Maxi Life (that's the LWB MPV version), with 3rd row permanently removed, and 2nd row partially folded or...
I'd be surprised if there was such a thing, in fact one of the unusual features of Laka is that a Sold Secure Gold lock is only required when not attended in either the home or a locked vehicle. Some other policies insist on this type of lock at home too.
I had issues with the Specialized app, so removed it and use the Ebike Field app by Jan Capek instead, just for the battery & mode data fields.
The power meter calibration is a red herring, there's no calibration required on a Levo, hence why it errors. You can go into Sensors, choose the Levo...
I've posted pics of my VW Caddy before. It's a LWB MPV version (Maxi Life), so it's registered as passenger vehicle which makes speed limits, etc less hassle. I've had from new and have modified it from standard spec since, such as tints, lowering, splitter, alloys, remap, etc.
Thanks for taking the time to back to me, makes sense. As I mentioned it’s a great concept, retrospectively billing members for what has happened rather than charging people for something that hasn’t and betting that it won’t.
Hello @Tobi_Laka,
I‘ve been with Laka for around a year now - love the concept and the business model, and have recommended it numerous times.
I have a question though regarding the example April 20 statement you’ve posted above. I have a statement for April 20 and all of the breakdown figures...
If that’s a Levo in your profile picture and you have it paired as a power meter to a Garmin, your 670 will be correct and their (assuming they are also ebikes) 2k+ will be wrong.
I think with any eMTB that does not broadcast rider input power over ANT+ or Bluetooth to the device, the calories will be out by a factor of around 3x. I base this on seeing eBike rides where Garmin and/or Strava is estimating the power and therefore the calories based on speed over distance...
I also have a 2019 Levo Comp and I wouldn’t roof mount it. There‘s a number of threads on here discussing options for wheel & battery removal to reduce weight but inevitably comes down to the alternatives, e.g. tow bar rack or inside a van/car.
I’m with Laka and have £11.5k on cover (eMTB plus road bike) for anything between £25 - £40 a month. The premium varies because they calculate what they’ve paid out each month and your individual premium is a proportion of it based on the value covered. Covers crash, theft from home or outside...
