I'd say the whole thing is a bunch of crap and they don't understand people who own bikes, which is why they think servicing an ebike motor is beyond us...
and locking down motors and making them obsolete on purpose is some weird apple cult think
My next bike definitely won't be Bosch again...
try pedalling with the motor on, then turn the motor off, note how hard pedalling in that gear really is.
the wind resistance you feel is likely the wind and being in a gear you wouldn't be in on a normal bike
on my bike cx4 I can coast down a hill and it gathers speed very quickly.

Can't you go to any shop that sells your brand, and that brand still covers the man hours.
but you have to pay a small service fee of like £20 for the shop to handle the warranty claim?
MIght be worth asking around if another shop can get a new motor quicker for you.
You could always try...
I find when mountain biking my motor isn't the loudest thing around.
Lighter could also mean weaker, like they put what seems to be a nylon cog inside, I'm guessing the old one was metal.
Battery tech is more important than motor tech to me at this point in time.
Shame they don't concentrate...
It's a good bike and very good spec for the cost
Whyte are a very good brand, one of the best even., they are just a smaller company so less people have heard of them, but they are one of the best brands in the UK
When working properly you should hear the motor whirring away and in turbo it...

It has wireless charging built in and a usb port that takes charge from the battery and doesn;'t reserve any power
what sucked your battery dry is probably the screen brightness though.
somehow I doubt Yamaha are the leader, Bosch sold 1.5million motors alone in 2020 and I've still yet to see a Yamaha motor even though theres 2 Yamaha dealers within about 20miles
This, The only "motor service" are third party services that would void the warranty. (like sending your motor off to the bearingman to have the internal bearings replaced, but not something to worry about unless your motor starts making grinding noises outside of warranty)
Bosch don't do any...
buzzing is probably a capacitor or something on it's way out, I'd try and get the charger replaced.
what charger do you have though? Itheres a fast charger maybe that one gets hot?
I think the one I have takes about 4 hours for a full 750wh charge and the charger barely gets warm to touch...
is your bike supposed to fit a 38t chainring? I know some bikes I've seen have limits "max 36teeth chainring" etc
soemthing to do with the gap between the chainring and chainstay though, so if you had a problem because of that. maybe it'd be obvious.
If the cassette isn't one peice, are you...
