Maxon is a Swiss system, super quiet and natural but on the lower end of little assistance systems. Where I live it is available in Thomus and Transalps bikes.
Did only couple hours test rides - like the system but range is rather poor (it came here with 250Wh baterry + extender that double...
You have to add Fuel as a separate sensor (power in this case, same for cadence) otherwise as an „enike” it reads only speed distance and battery usage (level of support - by the way all max out and app shows level 7)
Did a ride with guy on new SL, over 700km on the clock in spesh - it is no more so quiet as it was at the beginning - super annoying sound to me (but maybe it is just this one bike), there was also one in Kenevo SL (old motor) that was noisy like hell.
I did Furcletta/Welschtobel/Ramozhütte in Lenzerheide area in Swiss Alps. Almost 38km and 890m of ascent, 35% of battery consumed (but had to push bike a lot [emoji23])
I modified settings 1 is only 50W/49%, 2 is 100W/100% and 3 is all setting max.
Update - 10,5km (6,5mile) 978m (3200ft) ...
Just bear in mind frame is linear and ready to work with progressive air shock, coil is super linear therefore it will be always a compromise with standard spring
388 was super soft for me, very comfy but too easy to bottom out, next was 456 which was way to hard (zero “plushness”), but only once I bottom it out on quite big drop (that I did not expect [emoji1787]). Now I am on cc 400-488 and seems to be perfect (so far). If. I have to stick to no...
After 400kms and 65hrs of ride (in Swiss Alps), I see it is great bike and range (with RE) is sufficient for me (2000m is achievable). But this is all possible only if you are using bike in eco mode (ideally tuned down) or you are fit and rather light.
I am geared approximately 83-85kgs, bike is...
I am using SQLab 60x 140mm - day to night compare to Bonty, “138mm” in Bonty is super narrow (maybe 120 mm of semi flat surface) as the shape is curved, SQ saddles are more flat.
Whatever you buy you have to experiment with coil rate. I am on Ohlins platform what works amazing and it was noticeable from the very first minute on the bike (without setting up all adjustments) two negatives of coil - weight and linear characteristic. I ended up with CC progressive spring...
Easily doable with single battery. I had to add 500m of altitude to reach starting point.
In my opinion Bike ticket to ride - Black in Lanzerheide is more epic ;)
Did today Landwasser epic trail in Davos 1300m of elevation (starting from mid station of Jakobshorn) and 46km, used 125% of battery (whole RE and 75%) of main battery. Whole trip in trail (135W and 98% assist) and turbo (all max)
Seems with this way of using 3m of altitude on each Wh.
It was...
That’s the problem, it is not available where I live, at least RE arrived and sit quite good in standard bottle carrier. Mu RE came without rubber strap - but I guess that could be easily replace by substitute.
Most important additional 160wh indahaus [emoji12]
