Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe - Trying to understand range and altitude possibilities

Did today test ride using only 2nd level of support (oem settings) 28km 900m up and 81% battery used. As a part of test I get to trail start w/o any support - 8km 100m up - very normal (and comfy) bike [emoji106]

Changed spring to progressive 400-488 from CaneCreek. Best combination I can imagine.

Fuel EXe Fuel EXe Suspension Modifications/Questions

I am not aggressive rider, and sometimes bottom out with linear Ohlins spring, but the way how bike behaves is day and night to the air spring. I will try cane creek or mrp progressive spring. It is purely personal thing but I am 100% convinced I prefer no air in rear shock.

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe - Trying to understand range and altitude possibilities

Make sense, I did not touch Mid settings, but also did not find it very usable. In my area trails are rather long (40-60km and 1200-1600m of altitude) so have to save juice [emoji3525] at least until range extender arrives (i hope for 2200m of altitude on 520Wh batteries. Worth to mention I am...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe - Trying to understand range and altitude possibilities

It is bot about like it or not, it doesn’t really work for me, not comparable to ep8 or brose system. Hope they will correct it with software, good the bike is light so no issue to push or lift the bike

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe - Trying to understand range and altitude possibilities

Third charge, 98% of battery used. Most in eco (recalibrated to 80W and super slow response). Maybe 50m of altitude was pushed up the hill (by the way walk assist sucks), and 50m in recalibrated turbo mode (all settings max).

Fuel EXe Fuel EXe Suspension Modifications/Questions

Very linear frame of EX-E, in analog brother EX there is a flip chip to correct progressiveness.

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

What is the size of battery? 11% hill steepness for 9km and only 11% you have to pedal w/o assistance for majority of the hill.

Fuel EXe Fuel EXe Suspension Modifications/Questions

It is simple math, 60mm stroke gives 140mm of travel, every mm of stroke gives 2,33mm of travel. 62,5 make rear 146mm, 65mm gives you 152mm

Wheels are super heavy, beefy rotors (I had 2.3mm TRP in mine), calipers are also heavier, dropper post as well, suntur casette also is not light, cockpit (alu vs. integrated carbon)

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Fox and RS have specific service intervals, afaik Fox a bit longer. I wouldn’t wait more then 100hrs, and strongly recommend to do proper first service right after buying bike, mass production means not enough oil (and rather cheap one), not enough grease on seals (seals could also by change to...

Yes I did it already (and make only 27km from new), I lower sag to 25% to manage it. I tried only on local trail - nothing really extreme. Never had tis issue in acoustic EX9,7 on same trail
