It feels like there's a small amount on my EP8 when it's in boost. I quite like it for clearing steep, steppy, rocky stuff that I wouldn't be able to pedal up. It does take away from the natural feel that the morltor gives though. I'd like the option to play with the settings and see what it was...
Guys any thoughts on Middle size Rise for my 180 cm /5’11 heigth? I now that size chart says LARGE but I don’t mind ig the bike will be small and nimble
I'm 5'7" with a 30" inseam on a medium and it feels a bit short and tall. I think it's the steep seat angle and low stack height. If it...
If it meshes properly, there will be no gaps between the chain and the chainring. The links will fit perfectly between the teeth (also, narrow/wide links need to be aligned with the narrow/wide teeth).
I'd flip the bike over and pedal it slowly looking at the chainring, if it looks like the...
Probably depends on what you're riding? If your mile munching on gentle terrain then you're not going to want an enduro fork. If your hitting gnarly stuff, you might not want 32mm stanchions.
As far as I can tell, 'e optimised' anything is just a heavier, cheaper made version of the regular...
Have you routed it around the rear mech correctly? There's a little tab between the pulleys, the chain has to be on the correct side otherwise it rubs.
Have you got the chain the right way around? Writing on the outside?
Tredz had them both when I bought mine. It was a few months ago now though. It might have been £60 for the alloy minus the traditional £5 voucher.
Looks like they're only £58 direct from e13 but the 32 is out of stock there and most other places that I've just checked.
I read on here...
I got 2k miles from the alloy version. If I hadn't been so lax with changing the chain, I'd probably have got much more.
When I bought a replacement, I noticed there were steel and alloy available. I couldn't bring myself to fit something heavier so went for another alloy. £50 for a couple of...
I ran a 27.5 rear wheel from my hardtail on my Rise using the bosch magnet. Orbea sell it as a spare part so figured it would be ok.
Only did a couple of rides but had no issues.
Other than pedal strikes but that was the smaller wheel, not the magnet...
If you're getting them cheap, buy 3x XT chains and some decent lube. Swap the chain every ride for a clean, freshly lubed one. Then clean the one you've taken off.
Seems like faff but it'll make everything last a long time.
The cassettes are dying because the chain wears and kills them off...
I got 600 miles from the original SLX 12sp. 1200 from an XT. Between them, they wore out the SLX cassette.
This is on an Orbea Rise ridden week in, week out regardless of weather and/ or conditions.
The XT chain saw me though winter in the UK riding in Surrey and the Peak District which are...
Ah, days gone by. A time before we accepted that damping might be more important than overall travel. Big Hits, the original mullet? Stinkys... Good times.
In all fairness, so were HT frames with Monster Ts 😂 dynamic head angle must have been close to vertical at full compression.
I don't have a Wild. But if I did, there's no way on earth I'd be fitting a 190mm fork to it. I don't think many bike would ride well with +30mm under the front end.
