how many wheight are you ? on which tracks do you ride (km + D+) ? In regard of my charasteristics: 100 kg wheight and moutain ride (30km 1500 d+), i'm disagre with you, i can't follow full motors with the M820. i can't climb 20% during long time, that i can do with the M510.
About of the interest of M820 regarding M510. It's not only 0.600 gr less, but mostly 2kg. The battery needed to do +- the same thing is also more light (+- 1.5 kg).
My opinion. After several month of ride with the M820, i have taken the M510 for a week of ride in spain. Finally I love the 2 bike/motor, the only criter of choice will be the guys who will ride with me. if they are assisted, the M510. Unassisted the M820. And when i'm alone, depending the...

I find that chain is very close to the speeder, i doubt that it fit with 2 teeth less. but may be with few adaptation ?. the other problem is chain position in regards of swing arms, with the E10 i needed to install protection to avoid that chain eat...
32 and 11/52 with 29", 11/50 with 27.5. I would used less if i could, 28 and reduced K7 rear (less cheaper and more light) , but with 104BCD spider it's impossible to mount less than 32
Ok. clear. Your motor is not provided with spider (first time i see that ?). You can find a lot in ali (same than M510). But, as i haven"t purchased i can't recomand one in particular, i'm not sure that all keep the same width for chain line. ask to dealers if they have original width. Or ask to...
i disagree with you. With battery it have too lower space on ebike to allow easily cables/wiring translation, sometime when you fall with MTB the handlebar can make 360° and done too many constraint on cables.
depend of use, i just need lower guard to protect motor from front wheel stone projections, no more. i will never use it to point of support to pass an obstacle
without the rear shock, you measure shock fixation axles center distance with suspension fully open and fully closed (limited by swing arm/basis articulation construction).
