I just found these as well.
I've done the same thing to my wheels as you have and they need replacing.
I like that the Hunt rear wheel is 36 spokes and the front is 32.
I really need a stronger rear wheel.
So my bike is less than a week old and I've already dented the rear wheel (in 2 places) and bent a spoke.
My rims are Sunringle Duroc 40's.
I think they made them from butter
Any suggestions for a stronger rear wheel?
Now I can see the value in a pair of Spengle's 3 spoke...
Congratulations on your awesome new ride.
Just got mine as well. Didn't wait for the temps to drop. Went out this morning at 6.30am.
Merry Xmas to us :D
Got it! Off riding first thing tomorrow.
It is a Mig-R, though it has a standard Mig frame cos I like the black more than the Mig-R silver. So I got them to swap all the parts.
Now to customise it.
Soon I'll replace the shock with a Cane Creek Inline Coil 210x60 for around 150mm travel and...
I've ridden SugarBag a few times on my Santa Cruz 5010 (just sold). But not since the new trails have been put in. So would love to ride up there as soon as I get a new e-bike.
Are you a member of BushRangers or CORCA?
Hi, I'm in Brisbane as well in Wamuran. I took a Thor Mig-R for a test ride yesterday and loved it. Will be taking a Merida 160 900E for a test ride in the next few days hopefully.
The Merida is certainly the best value bike in Oz atm with quite simply the best components bar none. But..... I...
I just took a Mig-R for a test ride today. So impressed with how it rides. Like @Krisj said; you hop on it and it just feels right and comfortable.
Definitely top of my list for my new emtb so far.
I love the look of it.
I love how it handles.
Mostly I love how I don't have worry about climbing...
I'm in Brisbane, Australia and the distributor in just down the road from me. (about 30kms) so hoping to test one this week. I noticed the NZ site hasn't got any prices yet as well. But at $7,200 for the Mig-R makes it about $7,600NZ plus shipping.
@lookieuk Have you considered a Thok? Thok E-Bikes AU
Only 140r/150f but I think they can be made to work with 150r/160f.
Also the rear suspension is progressive so it will feel like you have more than 140mm travel.
I'm going to test ride one this week hopefully.
