I've managed to avoid Fox on my last five bikes. But, I got a great deal on a used bike. It came with the 36 performance elite and DPX2. It also came with the X2. The 2023 DPX2 feels okay. The 2023 grip 2 damper is terrible. I don't have high expectations for the 2024 X2.
How are you getting along with your 2024 x2s? I sent in a 2021 and got a new 2024 in return. The bike currently has a DPX2 on it which I feel is pretty good. Wondering if I should even bother with the X2 or just sell it in new condition. I don't really trust Fox to design suspension with good...
Does anybody on here actually on this bike? Reading reviews it's pretty controversial. Lots of people are negging it for conservative geometry, but it is what it is, a trail bike. The bike radar review gives it 3 out of 5 stars and says that it's harsh even when set up plush. That just doesn't...
I've done plenty of mixed wheels size bikes from way back before it was popular. They usually had pretty significant compromises after the change. Now I'd much rather the bike be designed to maintain it's geometry with mixed wheels. The only option would be to buy a spring shock and install a...
I tried to order one of these frames to the us last year when Rob did his first build and they weren't shipping here at the time. There was some corny company selling fully built versions with their ugly branding for like$6k 🙄
I think this is a clean solution but there a chance it won't fit because of the width of the down tube. I love to fettle and hate multitools. So I use a topeak mini ratchet and absolutely love it.
Can't assume the 2022 will have the same issues, but the amount of ingress is worrisome to me. I'd consider seeling the cable passthroughs with some non hardening rtv and treating all the connectors with acf50.
Does anyone know why some Giants have issues with water? If it has anything to do with electrical connections there is nothing better than ACF-50! Its an aerospace product that has literally save millions of dirt bikes and off-road cars. If there is any dielectric grease is here wipe it out and...
Looks like you have maybe 20 mm of post exposed below the collar. Can you slam it that extra distance? If so that's not much less than the extra 30mm needed for the 210 post.
My local shop in socal took a $100 deposit for first right of refusal for a medium level 2. He said the list price is $5599 and he is expecting them in November.
After running a oneup 210mm drop there's no way I can switch to 125mm.
Idk. All the maestro graphs I've seen have a linear final leverage ratio. So with a coil you'd probably need to over spring to compensate, and we all know that makes initial travel harsh. Of course every model can have very different kinematics, but this article on the 2020 reign indicates they...
Iirc dual link designs are inherently linear. There may be a limit to the progressivity you can achieve within the constraints of the current mastro design.
