Well I've done a few rides with the 800wh now. It fitted straight in to my Reign E+2 size medium (2022). I tried to fit it into my wife's Liv intrigue e+3 (2020 model) size small, but it wouldn't fit although the 625wh does.
Just got my new 800wh and went for a ride this arvo. I'm 61 years old at 118kgs. Haven't been riding as much lately as normal, due to work commitments and shitty weather. Today's ride was 39km on soft wet tracks. 625m of climbing. 1hr 55mins riding. Used mainly level 3 with a bit of 4 and 5 on...
I always enjoyed my 750wh total on my Focus Jam2 and now have a Giant Reign E+2 with a 625wh. I am getting about the same range on the Giant as I do on the Focus(now my spare bike). For me its because having x5 power settings to choose from means I can get just the amount of assistance I need at...
Just got a call from my LBS to say they will have a few of the new 800wh batteries arrive about "week 30". I had ordered a 750wh for my 2022 Reign e+2 but definitely said, "yep get me the 800 instead". I'm a big heavy guy and love long rides with 1000m plus ascending so may as well. I do find my...
Bloody warm here lately and I can say that I'm getting better range out of my 625wh battery on my Reign E+2 than I get out of my 750wh (2 x 375wh) on my 2018 Shimano Focus Jam2. Same bloke on the same trails. Reign is a far superior bike.
Well I've put about 250km on this Reign so far, and I absolutely love it. Battery range is really impressive. I'm definitely getting more range out of this 625wh battery than I was getting out of my total of 750wh (both batteries) on my Focus, on the same trails, so really impressed with that...
Well I went out for 40km with 664m of climbing, using mainly level 2 and 3 with 4 on 1 very steep hill. Total Ride Time 1h 51m. Biggest improvement over my older E8000 bike, is the smooth, more natural, power delivery in any mode. I don't feel the motor is any more powerful than my wifes PWX2 in...
Low at this stage, will assess after this next ride and see if that works for me. I'm 60 years old and not a real aggressive rider so I reckon it will.
+2 size Medium, DPX2. only been for a 20k easy trail ride with the wife this morning but can already say its much quieter with smoother power delivery than my Shimano E8000 powered Focus Jam2. Going for a bit of a tougher 40k ride in a couple of hours, so should learn a lot more about the bike...
So I see a few comments about the new PWX3 Motor and the fact that it likes Cadence to provide full assistance. question for those who have tried a few: I have a 2018 Focus Jam2 with the Shimano E8000 motor. My wife has a Liv 2019 with the PWX2 motor. The support on the PWX2 is quite noticeable...
I went to an event a couple of weeks ago, here in New Zealand. One stand had the new Husqvarna EP8 bikes on display. I spoke to the guy running the stand and he said he had just done a Shimano service course for the EP8 and they even had adaptors to plug the EP8 into existing E8000 wiring...
My internal battery died in November, two months out of warranty. New Zealand distributor applied to Focus for warranty anyway. They said yes and said a new battery would be about 4 weeks away. 8 weeks later they said new battery was gonna be another 10 weeks. LBS had a go at distributor so...
