just for sharing and concluding. after many frustrating rides with "critical errors" etc... My dealer replaced the main electric loom which was faulty due to water ingress through the top tube (poor engineering design of the main electric box in the tube above the battery which lets water run...
One more update...
after several emails to Haibike UK and Haibike "Europe" directly and essentially no help at all, I was getting very frustrated with my bike not functioning as it should. Covid or not, 30days+ to respond to manufacturer warranty queries is just not acceptable.
Thankfully my...
If this is your first electric mountain bike, you will not regret it. They are great fun and in my case really got me converted to cycling big time.
I have explored my local area and been on small explore in the countryside as a result. my latest bike has 3000km in 12 months of ownership.
Most...
The bikes are superb. Very nice finish and good components in general. Currently, after-sales from haibke in the UK is simply inexistent So you definitely want to buy from a dealer that is knowledgeable about your particular bike and carries spare parts in stock rather than rely on ordering from...
Classic Haibike. There are no bikes available for at least 6 months at dealers or online and they keep doing these teasers with no purpose really. I wish they spent a bit more time on their customers rather than running some branding and marketing stuff all the time. I used to be interested in...
I installed the 54T DT swiss upgrade and it was an easy install. The hub gets open without tools once you have removed the cassette. Ratchet is definitely louder and engagement is obviously shorter. It feels nice and I have only made a short ride with it (about 20 miles). It felt nicer in the...
I checked mine is a 24teeth. I have approx 2600KM on my bike so I thought I could service it properly. dismounted and must say that it is all nice and no signs of too much wear. Still, I ordered a 54T (not cheap) as I would like to see if any better or not etc. Will share here once I receive.
I think that we have to allow for some flex on the exact display of % versus "reality". The difference between 99 or 100 is very tiny in terms of actual potential range difference. Probably less than half a mile (assuming 630wh is a "true" capacity, 1% is only 6.3wh probably less than 2 minutes...
Hello !,
Looks like a regular maintenance thing that I should add to the routine... where did you get the tool to remove the sprocket? It look like a special CNC part?
I agree. As my bike was all "opened up" I hesitated in making a small case for all the connectors and shrink wrap the whole thing. Then I thought it might be worse as it could accumulate condensation etc... So I tidy up the connections with some straps and made sure the connector between frame...
Just a quick update for anybody with similar issues.
I have found a way to get the bike to boot from the main controller button rather than the in/out battery.
I have fully disconnected the back-lights on both sides inside the rear frame. I have made weatherproof/waterproof the connections and...
Earliest my dealer can look at the bike is 18th of Jan. Also agree that software should not "suddenly go bad". So will probably do another full check of all connections and might even try to get access to the main loom in the tube if the "leave it alone a few days" does not work.
Well after a day of trying all the connections etc..I think it is time for a beer and think of something else! Thanks for the suggestions and help so far. will keep bike "dry" for a few days and see if this makes any difference but I now doubt it is related. Might just be a coincidence.
will...
Hi there !,
No tuning kit fitted.
I agree potential software thing but I did not install anything new on the bike so it would be very strange
I went on a ride which was wet but not crazy, then back home , usual clean nothing different than usual (ie avoid water on electronics etc)
Put bike in...
Hi all,
Here is the problem and what I have done so far unsuccessfully. Sharing for anybody else with similar problem
Problem : Bike will only start if I take battery out and back in. All buttons operate as expected once bike is on. If I power down the bike using the standard controller, the...
Hello,
I have just started to have this same problem on my flyon bike. I also think it is linked to wet weather/cleaning etc...I am still investigating the battery connection etc...if anybody has found a solution, I would gratefully like to know !...
