I think you are right that these are aftermarket pipes. I think it has been a combination of riding through the mountains which generated excessive heat. Searched on the internet obviously and it seemed to have happened more often with other riders.

Sorry, one correction... I have just checked the initial box once more which I received when purchasing the Levo. There is a Roval instruction inside. It indeed warns to keep the carbon rims 18 inches of the exhaust. This is more or less the distance until the 2nd or 3rd position on my Thule...
Hi Rob, thanks for your comment.
I would have expected a clear warning leaflet inside of the Levo box, which I received with the manual, charger etc. once I picked up my new bike that carbon rims are more vulnerable for heat. I understand you can't warn a rider for everything but as these bikes...
The heat is generated by a 2.7 liter V6 biturbo driving through the mountains (Dolomites) in Italy. Maybe this makes the difference. Again, same bike carrier used during last 15 years on many different cars and also in the mountains. Never had any issue.
If we had known we obviously would have...
Hi All,
Last week I went biking together with @PaoloBLEvo in Italy. We had a great time but unfortunately also faced a big issue with my Levo Pro Roval carbon wheel set.
A friend had my bike mounted on a Thule bike carrier behind his Audi with double exhaust pipes and it seems due to heat...

Hi Eagerly,
I think they do use BLEvo as a theoretical example here to justify their decision and point of view. Why do I write theoretical as Specialized already have closed the back door in their firmware which made it impossible for any 3rd party app to change the wheel circumference...
Thanks for your quick reply @Specialized Rider Care! Highly appreciated!
Only a few things which are confusing me here is you are speaking about new features/new tech releases in future time. However why do you kill the added value offered by BLEvo today without offering at least the same...
Count me in! For now I will not upgrade my bike. Still really surprised by this approach and actually still can't believe it.
I remember Rob's video "The MUST have for Levo & Kenevo owners... BLEvo":
The MUST have... ;-) and now Specialized tries to kill BLEvo quietly? What a laugh...
Last week I was visiting my local LBS where had a Levo S-Work Gen3 on stock. I must admit it is a beautiful bike. So today I thought, let's check the Gen 3 reviews and noticed this thread. I am really surprised and confused.
One mayor reason for me to choose for Specialized was the BLEvo app. I...
Hi,
I don't recognize your issues but maybe they are related to the memory difference between the BV6000 (which I have) and the BV6000S (which you have). I am not sure.
Regarding the maps I always use the openandromaps which are of good quality for my rides here in Europe.
I have an iPhone 8 as well with which I started in combination with a waterproof and shock absorbing Topeak case. After a few months I decided to follow Paolo's recommendations. (BV6000, BLEvo Android version, O_Synce remote and GUB phone holder) I don't regret that choice. Still every ride very...
Dear Bplus,
I can only tell you that I bought the BV6000 about 15 months ago and am still very happy with it. Yes, it's rather big and heavy but the phone is very robust and the internal battery is ideal for all day biking with screen always on. It also has a barometer which many other BV...
Aha I see and I guess Paolo is working on ios updates. Not sure if they will contain landscape views soon.
I can tell you too that I am also iPhone addicted but for emtb rides only I use an android BV6000. I really like that combination compared to riding with my expensive iPhone on the...
