It doesn't bother me.
I don't feel like it's loud, but the whine is a bit high-pitched. My only other experience on an ebike is riding a Bosch and the Bosch was slightly louder, but also a lower, more mechanical pitch with less whine.
I would buy one!
I ran a plastic bash guard similar to this on my acoustic Niner RIP 9 for 4+ years. The lower rear pivot sat below the bottom bracket and is exposed on the Niner. The plastic bash guard took a few hits and it has quite a few scratches on it, but it held up fine and never...
There is a Stumpjumper ST model (short travel) with 120mm of rear travel. I think it makes more sense to use the Stumpjumper (SJ) for our Turbo Levo bikes, as they have more similar suspension and geometry than the ST.
Measuring it yourself is even better though! (y)
I love my SL. I don't see the need for any additional assistance. I haven't found a section of trail this bike can't climb. I think 150/160mm travel is the sweet spot over the Rise's 140mm frame. Without riding the Rise, I'd argue that the Levo SL is a little more fun and forgiving when pointed...
How tall are you?
I'm 5'10" and the L Rail felt perfect when I put some test miles on one. I'm usually in between a M and L.
5'9" or taller I'd go with a L
5'8" or shorter I'd go with a M
49% seems way too premature.
I was purposely trying to drain my batteries on my ride this evening. My motor went into power saving mode when I hit 14% (44Wh) on my main battery and 24% (38Wh) in my RE... Roughly 17% of my total Wh left in the tank.
How much % did you have left in each...
You could try shortening your "reach" by sliding your saddle forward. There should be markings on the rails, just keep the saddle mounted to the seat post inside those markings. Shortening the stem will also decrease your "reach". If you already have a short stem, then you'll have to find...
I'm getting a similar sound on my 2021 Levo SL Comp. Seems to happen when I'm putting more power down on moderate to aggressive climbs. I don't notice it when casually pedaling or when I'm pointed downhill. I didn't notice it on my test ride prior to purchase.
My guess is a creak in the...
I agree with you 100%.
I thought the 2021 Commencal would be my next bike knowing it would be a great price point with good specs. I wanted the larger 630Wh battery and assumed the frame travel would be similar to the 2019 and 2020 models... 140mm-150mm. It was a let down for me when the...
New bike day!
I love this thing. I weigh 230lbs and rode 21 miles with 2,900 ft of climbing. I would normally ride 10-12 miles with 1,200-1,800 ft of climbing, so this bike effectively doubled my distance and elevation gain.
I didn't believe everyone's range claims, but now I'm a believer...
Long story... I ordered an "in-stock" Decoy in early August. After two weeks and emailing back and forth, YT didn't have the bike in-stock. They accidentally placed a warrantied bike into their stock that wasn't available for purchase. My order was cancelled and YT won't be making anymore Decoy...
My LBS has a medium 2021 Turbo Levo Comp in stock. Tempted to pull the trigger on it. Still a little worried about reliability, even with the updated software and belt. I know the 2021s are still really new, but have any riders experienced any motor or battery fails yet?
I'm in the US, but this was my recent experience:
I ordered a Pro 29 that showed "in-stock" last month. I immediately got an invoice via email and my credit card was billed that same day.
I waited a week after hearing nothing, so I emailed YT and to inquire about a shipping date. Within a few...
