I share the same concern. I'm second guessing purchasing the first production models of the EP8. Might be worth it to wait a few months to see if the Commencal reviews pick up the same rattling noise or to see if Shimano fixes or improves the rattling.
Rob's video at 6:51 has me worried. This...
Where do you live? Lol.
I actually ordered a Decoy Pro 29 back when they were available and YT screwed up and didn't actually have the inventory the website showed, so my order was cancelled. Wish they offered a bigger battery too.
My current acoustic bike is 125/140mm and I can keep up with...
Loving the Meta Power 29 Essential. Same price as last year's Essential model, even with the upgraded Fox 38 and Shimano motor/battery. The only spec I don't love is the e13 cranks and ring.
Pretty sure I'll be placing an order once Shimano gives them the okay.
Hmmm... I'm in the US. Everything I've heard says the Shimano motors/batteries are delayed ?♂️
Props to Commencal if they were able to secure a large supply from Shimano!
Keep in mind, the new 2021 Power bikes probably won't be available on August 31st. My take is that Commencal will be releasing the specs and pricing details on their website on the 31st, but the bikes probably won't be available for a few months or even until early 2021. All of the bike...
Have any of the US guys spoken to their Trek dealers regarding the availability of the 2021 Rail 7 or Rail 9 models in the US?
The Rail 7 is the last model that is still listed as a 2020 on their website. And the Rail 9 wasn't available in the US last year. :cautious:
Canyon just delayed the Spectral:On 7.0 another month for the US market.
Shades of Stealth was pushed back to September 21-25th for the US market. Shades of Purple still shows August 24-28th.
I put 32 miles on a 2020 Rail 5 during a demo back in January. I would consider the Rail 5 very entry level, and the price reflects that. I would want to upgrade four things on the Rail 5: fork, brakes, drivetrain and battery size (see below).
I'm used to a Rockshox Pike and the Rockshox 35...
Same exact thing happened to me. I'm 176cm with a 80cm inseam and the calculator kicked back a small. I always seem to fall in between a medium and large with every other bike manufacturer. I emailed Canyon and their rep recommended a medium. If I go the Decoy route, I'd order a large.
I'm 176cm and I always seems to fall inbetween a M and L. I've ridden a L on Trek and Cannondale bikes and I've ridden a M on Specialized and Niner bikes. The Spec felt a little small, but the others felt great.
Canyon's online calculator put me on a size small, which didn't sound right. I...
If it follows their acoustic models, the Essential is kind of like a "middle" build. Their Power bikes haven't been consistent with the builds. 2019 offered Race and Essential builds (Race being more expensive). 2020 offered Essential and Ride builds (Essential being more expensive). To make it...
I like everything about the Spectral:On, except for the 500wh battery. I'm fine with the E8000 motor and the rest of the specs and the price is hard to beat... but I think they need a 625wh battery option to be competitive.
Wow, I love it. I'm digging that green.
$6999 converted to US $. I'm curious to see what the next model down (Ride or Origin) will be spec'd with and what its pricing will be. Sub $6k would be nice.
I'm really interested in seeing what the price and availability is on the 2021 Commencal Power bikes here in the US. I'm happy with the current 2020 specs on the Essential model, but I want the EP8 and 625wh battery. The think the colors on their 2021 acoustic bikes look killer too. I'm hoping...
