I wouldn't bet on it but it is a legitimate wild guess, snd if that happens probably the nail in the coffin for Shimano mtb motors (seeing as Bosch is already taking market share)
I wouldn't use I9 on anything - period. Broke several 305 wheels and I'm not an ews racer or anything. They somehow built a brand of reliability and bomb proof but they're anything but that. DT all the way
IDK if that's the real reason (the Amflow launch) but I also heard unverified rumor from someone in the know. The launch announcement was *definitely* scheduled for this November initially (verified with many insiders) but now it seems there are more and more April/May 2025 rumors. If I had to...
Is this still a Levo thread, or are we now discussing Transmission GX?? (which BTW *does* have a problem with moisture due to its horizontal battery placement, but this isn't the right thread...)
Oh gosh I hope Specialized doesn't go the way of Sonos... a few years ago Sonos updated their app and removed support for all v1 hardware... They brought it back after huge backlash. I can see why Spec' would want a single app vs two but I still can't figure out what was wrong with the old one...
It's only anecdotal here but I'd expect the majority of ppl don't need 120Nm, but it's true what others said here that Big S' can't veer too far of that spec, e.g. release something with 90Nm and some would say "oh it's only 3/4 as powerful as the DJI" so they do probably have to get close...
Hmmmm, Levo g4 is coming BUT I heard from one of my sources some wavering on the dates... Either it's announced very soon, or I'm pretty certain leaks will start coming through if they dealy to April - so hopefully by Thanksgiving we all know! And WRT the teaser video discussion - if I was Spec'...
If you have a Float X, don't bother ;) Let the noise die down then decide if you need a shock with two different chambers and two different token types. Specialized has yet to succeed on a "proprietary" shock that is only good for Spec bikes and nobody else runs it. Maybe this one is it, but...
Good summary and I personally agree with you - and personally I don't need all that torque. BUT I still think, since this is a rumors thread, if Spec did integrate such a powerful/hyped motor, they would sell like hot cakes which is what ultimately they care about (and there's no reason to think...
right now with all the DJI hype - and only one bike sporting it (and it's the company's first bike - ever) - if Spec somehow got a Levo with DJI motor they'd be flying off the shelf at full 5 figure prices.
Since this is only a rumors thread and no realities allowed like the OP stated, let's just say rumor is you'll see the new Levo in the wild come December 2024. Oh and add to that, idk if you've noticed but Big Spec has been getting better with their color choices ;)
I'm assuming some of you have looked into this already - what is the charging habit you use for your Levo or Levo SL ebike?
It's not good to leave battery at 100% or too low (less than 20%?) for a prolonged period. Specialized now has a setting to charge to 80%, but I have a few concerns with...
Thanks for the extensive feedback! That's to be expected. I am a taller rider (188cm, 80kg) and my other bikes are full 29ers but I thought I'd give this mullet thing a try and as you mentioned I too was pleasantly surprised. Setting the bike in the 29er position (despite the mullet rear) takes...
@guglez I take it you haven't acquainted yourself with the Specialized software yet... Not saying other vendors are better (they're not) but Specialized is notorious for missing key functionality and sometimes going backwards on software. Just google the many "satisfaction" threads on the sh*tty...
No. Been riding it like that for a couple of months now, much better and still great clearance. No pedal strikes and no bottom tube bumps. I think bb height is about the same as if you run it low bb with the 27.5 setting
