My latch had become very loose.
I then tried the Tobias modification which helped, but I wasn't sure how much longer it would last.
Canyon were quite helpful and sent out the updated latch under warranty.
My new latch arrived today.
It took 7 days to get from Germany to West Yorkshire so I can't really complain about Canyon's customer service.
It didn't come with any packaging or instructions, just the latch in a brown envelope.
I also received those instructions from Canyon.
When my new latch arrives I won't be taking my bike to a local service centre.
I've already loctited and tightened the bolts on the top battery mount so I don't think there is any point.
Thanks Crispy.
It looks like I should be receiving the updated latch.
Looking at your packaging I can't believe the cheeky bastards are going to be charging people £19.99 to replace a part that was never fit for purpose.

I contacted Canyon's warranty team yesterday and they're sending me out a replacement latch to Yorkshire - LCK BOS FOR BATT BBP37YY AXIAL bk
Could you please let me know if this is the Canyon Part Number you received?
There was some confusion over whether I'd be...
Mine don't make that noise.
Isn't that just the braided cable sheathing catching on the cable tray lid?
Have you tried sliding the lid back a bit to see if that makes a difference?
There are two more bolts inside the connector that may need loctite and tightening.
The connector / socket is easy to remove and inspect.
The cable covers slide out out freely but be careful not to bend them as they're very thin.
When reinstalling the connector and replacing the cable covers...
Mine seems to be wedged fairly tightly with the Tobias fix but it doesn't make the same click as before when closing the latch.
Have you checked the battery socket in the down tube at the opposite end?
Mine was quite loose so I removed all the bolts, loc-tited and reinstalled, it's been fine...
I have also installed the Tobias latch plate but I'm not using zip ties or any other method of securing the battery.
Hopefully it will last until the mysterious Canyon solution is revealed.
I think on the newer models you need to scan a small QR code printed on the end of the shock which takes you to a link on the Fox site with all the details.
I contacted Canyon and got the below reply.
09/10/2023, 09:24:38): Do you know if the battery latch issue with the Strive On has been resolved yet and what the fix is as I've seen numerous reports of the battery disconnecting and the latch breaking
(09/10/2023, 09:26:32): And I'm concerned...
From memory that gap looks too big to me but I'll check mine this evening before I go out and let you know.
Have you got the top cap bolt tight enough and is everything you took out back in the same place?
Hello @Renton
I bought the Underdog and don't regret it.
I was always going to swap over a few bits from my previous bike so it didn't make sense for me to buy the mid range bike, and I much prefer the colour of the Underdog...
The invisiframe seems good quality. It isn't the easiest to fit although it's probably fairly straightforward if you're doing it all the time.
There are a few areas on the frame that have gaps between the pieces but some of that might be down to me not applying it correctly.
You don't know the...
